Nyla hummed herself a little tune while walking through the park near their house alongside her little brother, Nathan.
"It's so cold..." He wrapped his arms around himself tightly, trying his best to protect him from the cold. "How are you not even cold?!"
Nyla shrugged as she stopped by the lake. "Well, it's just like that sometimes. Maybe take a dip in the lake to feel warm?"
"Hey, just because it's being warmed to keep the fishes alive, doesn't mean it'll help me." Nathan sneered at her in frustration.
Nyla just shrugged again and said; "Well, if you don't try, you'll never know." as to which Nathan just rolled his eyes.
"A real shame mum and dad aren't here. I could snitch on you." Nathan snickered at Nyla, which she ignored.
A tall man with ash blond hair walked behind them and tapped Nyla's shoulder. "Hey guys-"
Nyla immediately kicked his leg while Nathan threw his jacket at his face. "Nathan, you chuckle-face! You're cold and you throw your jacket!"
Nathan shouted back, "Not my fault some asshole just scared me outta nowhere!" Nyla gasped. "Did you learn that from your friends?!"
The man sighed softly before stumbling to stand up and removing the jacket from his face. "Sorry to scare you both." He chuckled before passing the jacket back to Nathan.
Nyla turned around to look at him before hugging the man. "Big brother Isaac! I'm so sorry!" He patted her head and chuckled.
"It's fine. My fault for scaring you two." He said with a gentle smile. "Mother asked me to join you guys on your walk."
"So, Ms Elvis?" Nathan asked confused. Isaac shook his head. "Nope, Prof Aries. You two want some pastries perhaps?I got money."
Nyla and Nathan both squealed excitedly. "Yes please!" They said together in sync. "Aight. Let's go." He held their hands and led them to a cafe nearby.
