Bakugo is at his desk, finishing up the last couple of problems on Present Mic's English homework assignment when Uraraka and Mina burst into his room, hardened looks of suppressed rage in their eyes.
"What the fuck, don't I tell you extras to at least knock?" Bakugo says, putting his pencil down and spinning in his chair to face the two girls. "This better be worth my time—"
"You know how the general course kids run the UA newspaper?" Mina interrupts, voice tight and rigid.
Bakugo raises an eyebrow, sensing the tension in the girl's tone. "Yeah, they've got a fuck load of clubs and shit. Why?"
Uraraka shoves her phone into Bakugo's hand. "Look at this article that they posted this morning."
Bakugo takes the phone, blinking twice before he freezes.
Bakugo Katsuki: Womanizer of the Hero Course
"Scroll down," Mina says, anger dripping in her voice. "It gets worse."
Bakugo does as told, scrolling down to find a series of photos—him and Camie at the mall, deep in conversation; him and Momo at a fancy restaurant, sitting at a table for two; him and Mina at the park, sitting on a picnic bench with Mina holding his hand; him and Uraraka, arms linked together with rollerskates on both their feet.
"What the fuck."
While the photos weren't fake or altered in any way—Camie had dragged him to the mall to go clothes shopping; Momo had wanted Bakugo's opinion on a particular restaurant's food because she wanted to take Jirou there for their six month anniversary; Mina had joined Bakugo on his weekend stroll at the park at one point, deciding to paint his nails while sitting on the bench and vent about her stresses; Uraraka had pleaded with Bakugo to teach them how to roller skate because it was Kaminari's turn to pick a date, and he had picked roller skating, which Uraraka had no experience in and didn't want to make a fool of herself—it's the paragraphs of text accusing Bakugo of seducing the women of the hero course, calling him a playboy and a flirt; a womanizer.
"How did you two—"
"People fucking came up to me and showed me the article," Mina says, fuming, "saying shit like 'oh, I'm so sorry to be the one to do this, but I think you should see this. You should know the truth'. It's fucking ridiculous!" Mina runs a hand through her hair, tugging at the ends slightly. "Obviously Shiketsu saw the article, and Camie got pulled to the principal to be questioned about if she was dating you." Noticing Bakugo's shoulders tensing, she's quick to continue, "She handled it perfectly fine, though! She told them, and I quote, 'I'm literally a lesbo girlie! Bakugo might be a girlypop babygirl, but his cooch is mid'."
Though the tension in Bakugo's shoulders relaxed a bit, his gaze doesn't as it finds its way to Uraraka. "Did Kaminari see it?" he asks.
Uraraka frowns for a moment, before letting out a sigh. "Yeah, he did. He didn't tell me he saw it though. He told Mina about it and she told me. He told her that he trusted me, and trusted that you wouldn't betray his trust like that, but he had gotten upset at the idea of me taking someone else roller skating, even if it was a friend. As soon as Mina told me though, I went to him and explained the whole 'practicing with Bakugo so I can impress you and not look dumb on the date' thing, and he instantly felt better about the whole thing." They try to give a smile, but Bakugo can see the way her lips wobble ever so slightly. "He says that he's going to make jokes about this until the day he dies, so just prepare yourself for that." After a moment of silence, Mina speaks up, murmuring, "Jirou saw the article, too, and Momo had to spoil the whole six month anniversary surprise. Jirou isn't hardly as upset as Momo is—you know how she gets with trying to do nice things for people."
Bakugo doesn't respond to any of this, having gone completely, eerily silent. Mina and Uraraka glance at each other, worried for a moment that maybe going straight to Bakugo and telling him was a mistake. He stands up abruptly, the tension in the room thick as his voice comes out slow; deep and low and drowning with anger.
"I'll take care of this bullshit," he says, clenching his hands into tight fists, then storming out of his room and down the stairs. Mina and Uraraka don't bother hesitating, immediately following him downstairs to the kitchen. He's completely, utterly silent as he pulls out various ingredients and measuring cups and bowls. Everyone already knows not to mess with Bakugo while he's in the kitchen, so Mina and Uraraka take a seat at the island, silently watching as he cracks and measures and mixes at a furiously terrifying speed, knowing better than to question what he's doing.
Eventually, Bakugo pulls out a glass baking dish, smearing it with butter and then pouring out the smooth, rich brown batter into it and spreading it evenly, ensuring that it is level throughout the entire thing. He then turns around and opens the oven (which he had turned on to pre-heat before he started to pull out all the ingredients), sliding the dish into it, then closing it and setting a timer.
He immediately begins to clean up—much calmer with his motions, not as blinded by an all encompassing rage. Mina takes it as a good sign, sliding out of her seat and quietly helping—wiping down the counter and starting to wash all the dirty dishes and cups. Uraraka quickly follows behind her, putting away all the ingredients that were still out and drying the dishes Mina cleaned. Meanwhile, Bakugo fills the kettle with water, then opens his assigned cabinet and pulls out a lavender tea bag, then grabs a fancy floral tea cup—Momo's—and places it by the kettle, plopping the tea bag into the cup. He takes out his carton of oat milk—the fancy kind—from the fridge and pours some into Momo's cup, then waits for the kettle to finish heating up.
While Bakugo waits, the timer on the oven goes off. He turns off the oven, grabbing oven mitts and pulling out the brownies from the oven, placing them on the kitchen counter. Mina is about to make a comment when Bakugo pulls out his phone, tapping furiously, and then Mina's phone buzzes.

Bakubabe: Everyone get your asses down to the kitchen.
Mina can't help the smile that overtakes her as she rushes to respond.
You: Blasty means that he made brownies for us ^.^
Chako: It's his way of saying sorry about the shit with the article
Jiji: Oh you softie (me n Momo will b there in a sec, ty)
Bakubabe: Fuck you all. First and last time I ever do this shit for y'all.
Hagakure and Tsu are the first to arrive, both thanking Bakugo for the brownies. Tsu murmurs something to Bakugo, though Mina doesn't know what. All she knows is that Bakugo lets out a sigh, murmuring, "Yeah, yeah. I know," back to her.
Once Momo and Jirou make it to the kitchen, Bakugo grabs the kettle that's now filled with boiling water and fills the rest of it carefully, taking a spoon out and gently mixing it. He takes it over to Momo, sliding it across the counter to her.
Momo—whose eyes are slightly swelling, clearly puffy from crying—gives a gentle, genuine smile as she takes the cup. "You didn't have to, Bakugo-kun," she says, taking a small sip of the tea.
Bakugo clicks his tongue, cutting up more pieces of the brownies and handing them to her and Jirou. "Nobody can make me do shit I don't wanna do, Ponytail. Drink the damn tea."
As Momo takes another sip of the tea, Jirou comments, "What are you gonna do, Bakugo? You gonna report the article to Aizawa or something?"
Bakugo's expression is unreadable; contemplative, thoughtful.
"Nah. I got a better idea, Ears," Bakugo replies, taking a slice of brownie for himself. "Don't you fucking worry about it, I'll take care of it."

Fanfic"Blasty!" Mina exclaims. "Hey babe." She quickly leans in front of him to give Camie a quick peck on the lips. "The girls are all having a sleepover, and you're coming with!" Bakugo blinks twice, scowling once Mina's words process. "Oh hell no, I'm...
