Hydra Base
Torture Room

James had work to do, so he left Steve tied up in the chair. He couldn't help but sob now that he was alone. His life was hell and he desperately wanted out. Soon enough he heard the familiar sound of his father's footsteps approaching the room. Icarus walked in and raised his brows at the sight of Steve, tears were still slowly dripping down his cheeks. It made his father laugh, the sound echoing off the walls. "Oh Steven. You really are a mess." He of course hadn't noticed the present James had left.

He stepped closer to him and then he let out a loud rumbling chuckle, Steve winced and turned away. "Oh would you look at that. You're all mine now aren't you Steven?" He grabbed at his chin and turned it towards him. "You belong to me. Remember that. I. Own. You." He let go of his chin forcefully throwing his head to one side. He then called in a few of his minions and asked them to put Steve back in his cell for later use. As if Steve was merely some kind of object, and not a person. With a beating heart.

Avengers Tower
Tony's Room

Tony woke up with a soft yawn, groaning as the light shined brutally in his eyes and shading himself from the piercing rays with an arm before sitting up with a groan. "Jarvis?" The AI made a familiar sound before speaking up. "Yes Sir" Tony smiled as he stretched. "What's the percentage now?" "93%" "Thanks J" "You're welcome Sir"

Tony chuckled to himself as he finally decided to get out of bed, he flopped his way over to the bathroom where he got himself ready for the day, brushing his teeth, fixing his hair, showering. He glanced at himself in the mirror and rolled his eyes at the sight of his beard starting to grow out a little. "J, remind me to shave tomorrow morning" The AI spoke back, sounding a little on the sarcastic side. "I see you've finally noticed sir" Tony rolled his eyes and was about to reply when there was a knock on his door, he poked his head out from the bathroom to look at his door "Yeah? Who is it" Nat's voice came through from the other side "It's me, just wanted to see if you were awake."

Tony raised his brows. Something funny was going on. She'd never come and check up on him this early. "Uh... Well I-" He was cut off when a loud 'Boo' resonated around his room and Clint came flying out of the vents, expertly landing on Tony's bed. Tony let out a startled sound, a mix between a shriek and a grunt. "Holy fucking shit-" Clint let out a laugh and so did Nat, still outside the room. "I knew something was going on" He was smiling, shaking his head.

"Whatever Tony you're not that smart" Nat stated from outside, followed by an eyeroll no one else could see. "Clint get out" He pointed at the door. And Clint continued to laugh as he made his way out. Tony shook his head again with a sigh as he heard their laughs slowly disappearing along with the two of them. He continued with his morning routine, feeling a little happier.

Hydra Base
Cells

Steve was sleeping, though not at all peacefully. He was laying on the rock hard floor, freezing. His wounds of course we're healing, but still hurt the same. The sleep was helping a little of course, since he was unconscious and couldn't feel the pain jolting through him. The bruises on his neck were slowly fading. They were still visible if you looked close enough. The scars on his body would of course take alot longer.

His chest bruises were turning a nasty yellowy purple on his body. His stomach bruises were still quite fresh, and they'd probably stay that way. He couldn't remember the last time he wasn't kicked in his stomach. And that of course wouldn't stop. He also had scars from all the times this had been done to him before. Scattered all over his body. On his back, his legs, his hips, his stomach. Everywhere. He couldn't find even one place on his body that had never been hurt.

They'd managed to hurt him in every possible way, he couldn't escape it. And he never would. He knew that. Deep down he knew full well that this is how he would live out his life. No friends, no family. Lonely always. Abused. Hurt. Pained. Wrecked. In every way possible. He knew his life would be miserable until the day he was taken away by whatever being is up there. And at the moment he didn't feel like there even was a being. If God existed why wasn't he helping him?

Why had Steve lived through 24 years of his life in this same exact way? That was also another thought that floated around in the back of his head. He didn't have hope anymore. What was the point. He'd hoped for an escape once upon a time. But any hope, any faith had just disappeared. He was so used to being treat like this. Maybe it was what he was meant for? He just didn't quite know anything anymore.

Avengers Tower
Kitchen

Thor was happily eating his pop tart in the kitchen, as Bucky cooked everyone breakfast. Bagels with eggs and bacon. Bucky loved to cook, it was something he'd been passionate, in the 40's so most of the time he did the cooking. Sometimes it was Nat in the evenings, which resulted in them all diving into a lovely Russian dish, whatever it was. She made good food.

Thor hadn't even learned how to use anything past the toaster and he was quite used to Asgardian food, which always made them have quite the laugh at the table when he tried new dishes and questioned the funniest things. They always had a good laugh. Bruce and Nat were already eating their bagels when Tony walked in, he smiled at the sight of them and waved before immediately making his way over to the coffee pot, which was already brewed and ready for him.

Clint was waiting patiently for his bagel, well as patient as Clint could be. Thor was still feasting on poptarts so he wasn't much of a problem right now. Bucky looked over to Tony as he sipped on his coffee and smiled softly, glad he'd got him to sleep. He finished off Clint's bagel and passed him it in a plate, everyone letting out a humoured laugh as he sighed out in relief. Bucky looked to Tony and then at the pan, a questioning look in his eyes. "Oh no, I'm not really hungry" Tony waved him off, sipping his coffee again. Bucky tried not to question it and just began making his own.

Tony stalked off to the elevator, cup in hand. "I'll see you guys later" They all raised their brows towards him and he groaned with a laugh before getting into the elevator and making his way to the workshop. Letting out a breathy sigh as he sat down and finished his coffee, before eventually starting to work on a suit.

A/N: I know Steve is a believer of God in the movies but I hope yall can understand why I made him question it 😭😭. Also I'm making them young. Steve's 24 and Tony's 27 let's say. You guys can decide the others' ages it's not really a big deal lmao. And ALSO I'm so sorry I take so long updating, I have suspected ADHD and that just means, when writing. I have to go and read all the other chapters to make sure I don't miss anything, I apologise for how long this took, but I am starting to get the hang of it again :). And with all that out of the way I hope you enjoyed the chapter <3
