(This also takes place about a week after they defeated Belos)

"Are you sure about this, Calamity?"

Raine asked as they walked down the stairs, dragging their hand along the siderail.

"Yes, I'm sure! You need a place to live, so i thought you could stay here. Just don't tell Luz you moved in, or she'll probably spontaneously combust."

Raine couldn't help but laugh. Eda was always the comedic type.

"Speaking of the kids, have you seen King? I know Luz is at school in the human realm, but I haven't seen him today."

Raine walked to the kitchen and grabbed a cup from the cabinets above the sink. They saw a mug with the words '30 & flirty' on it and couldn't help but snicker. They were going to use it to tease Eda, but noticed the inside had a red ring around it, which they were hoping was just from apple blood. They were REALLY hoping it was from apple blood

"Oh, he's at the park. He said he was going to go 'rule over everyone', so it's just us at the house till about 6. What's 2 hours to ourselves?"

Raine filled a cup with water, taking a long sip before setting the glass down. Eda came up behind them, wrapping her arms around their torso. Raine put their hands on hers and leaned back slightly into her touch. Eda couldn't help but giggle, they barely had to tilt their head back to see her. Eda kissed their forehead as the two stood there for a bit, wondering how they had come to this.

"How did we get so close?"

Eda asked them, knowing they'd probably reply with something dorky, yet sweet.

"I... don't know. I'm just glad we can be like this again."

Again

The word rang through Edas head. Eda looked down, and Raine seemed concerned by her expression. Her eyebrows pointed slightly inward, her eyes closed a bit. She looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Yeah... me too."

Eda had a somewhat painful smile on her face.

"What's wrong, Calamity?"

Raine turned to face her and put a hand on her cheek, slightly grazing it with their thumb. They knew this always comforted Eda. Especially when she was like how she is now. Eda put her hand on Raines, but they were still lightly grazing her cheek with their thumb.

"I shouldn't have pushed you away. I'm sorry, Rainestorm. If I knew that we could possibly never be this close again, I wouldn't have. It was wrong of me, and I promise I will never do it again."

The room went silent for a bit. The only thing that could be heard was Edas breathing until Raine broke the silence.

"Eda..."

Raine felt warm tears hit their thumb, and they pulled Eda closer.

"It's ok, Eda, It wasn't your fault. I'm the one who broke up with you, I should be apologizing."

Eda shook her head, knowing they had nothing to apologize for.

"Why would you need to apologize. I was the one being a total bitch! If I could just go back and-"

Eda was interrupted by Raine, who couldn't believe what they had just heard.

"First of all, NEVER say that again, you know it's not true. Your not a bitch. Second of all, I love you either way. Nothing will ever change that. Juat promise me you will never say that again."
