Marcy had known that getting back with Max was bound to feel different because now it was their own free will, since they no longer were obligated by a contract. She looked down at her wedding and engagement ring, thinking of how one year could change so much. This time last year she was having a mental break down not sure if her life was ever going to work out for the better.

And he she was a year later, madly in love, and happy to have made it out onto the positive side. Of course, there was still a lot of Marcy had to deal with, starting with figuring out how she was to talk to Christian. She had made it a point to avoid him while she was in Brazil not knowing how to have a conversation with him about the fact that she now knew. Even though Max had told her that Christian was aware that Marcy knew and that he would leave it up to her to decide how she wanted to proceed.

The other thing that was going to make things slightly awkward this week was Lennon's presence at the race, Lennon and Geri were both attending the race and Lennon had texted her to make plans for a brunch. Marcy knew she would not be able to keep it from her half-sister if she met her. So, she asked Max to arrange a meeting with Christian as the first thing to do as soon as they land in Abu Dhabi.

Christian had agreed, and the two of them were to sit down in a conference room in the red bull hospitality. Marcy was dreading it, but she had to get all this out of the way so she could go back to a somewhat normal life.

As she walked into the Paddock with Max on Thursday, she followed behind him to the location where she was to have her meeting with Christian. Max knocked on the door and as soon as they got the go ahead. Max and Marcy stepped into the opulent conference room at the Red Bull Racing hospitality in Abu Dhabi, bathed in the warm hues of the afternoon sun, casting a golden glow over the sleek, modern furnishings. Marcy scanned the room until her eyes settled on the figure at the head of the table—the Team Principal, her birth father.

"Thank you for meeting with me Christian," Marcy said.

"Of course, I hoped it would be under better circumstances how you found out about me but none the less I'm glad I'm able to sit down and talk. Firstly, how are you doing?"
