3.2 chanel and bad memories

[warning: mentions of assault towards the end of marcy pov and when we reach max's pov please skip if it is triggering. okay so this is unedited. this is an important chapter, we get alot of answers to our questions, we also learn about certain people that will show up again. but the chapter can be a bit on the darker side. ]

It was Chanel fashion show day. Marcy had finished with the last interview of the week and she and Karlee had wrapped up the last of their meetings securing a few more stores to carry their line.

Now the glam team that Chanel had hired for them had arrived at their hotel room and the two girls were being fussed about by hair and makeup. Isobel was also here, this being a public event meaning her publicist had to be present. Isobel was currently had her phone on speaker as Sara wanted both Karlee and Marcy to hear what she had to say.

"All the press and events you have done has brought in such a hype for Saints & Co., the media team informed me that the Instagram account already has over a million followers and the website has several newsletter sign ups. I think the inauguration is going to gather a lot of press."

"That's amazing," Karlee said.

"Sara, thank you for arranging all those meetings," Marcy said.

"Not an issue, it's my job as your manager to make sure we use your brand to the fullest. Rio's been on top of the revenues, and he thinks we are going to launch with a good profit."

"That all sounds wonderful, I can't wait to release the catalogue," Karlee said.

"Yes, but we wait if you do it now. Marcy being at Silverstone might overshadow it," Isobel said.

"We wait till we are back in Monaco, that way it will be before the launch and that feels like perfect timing.

"Yes, good plan."

The girls continued to get dressed, both in different Chanel dresses, Marcy's was a skinny strap body shape length gown, and Karlee was wearing a crossbody coat like dress that stopped midthigh. They both had their brand gold jewellery and Chanel pearls.

After their hair and makeup was done the two and Isobel headed for the show, it was to last about two hours starting at six in the evening. They had planned on getting an early dinner but when Marcy's interview got delayed, they scrapped the idea for light snacks at the hotel itself.

Their car pulled up to the event and the three of them exited heading for the carpet entrance and flashing cameras.

"I'm never getting used to that," Karlee said.

"Just stay by my side and hold my hand if you need too."

Karlee took a deep breath, linked her arm with Marcy's as the two headed in with Isobel following behind so she could coordinate any carpet impromptu interviews.
