YOU were best friends with itoshi sae and itoshi rin, though, you were closer to sae. you three had met in the playground, where you were getting bullied by some jerks who were just a bit older than you.
itoshi sae was the one who beat up your bullies, while rin was treating your injuries. since then, the three of you had become really close friends.
your heart shattered when you found out sae was moving away to become a famous actor, leaving you and rin behind. rin had taken an interest in soccer, and left you to play his favorite sport.
they had left you behind. all alone. you had become depressed for a few years, until you finally decided to forget the both of them and focus on your own life. you loved theater and plays in your school. the feeling of being able to preform in front of hundreds of people excites you.
one day, you were invited to yazuha inc. , a famous company known for their prestigious acting skills and breath-taking movies. of course, you said yes. you couldn't let this opportunity pass. your mom dropped you off the entrance of the company.
for years, you had preformed in several different shows and worked with other actors in movies. your acting skills were so amazing, it would be hard to tell if you were acting or actually doing something.
your manager came up to you and announced that you were going to work with another famous actor in a new movie called ' midnight ' . the manager left out the name of who you were going to work with, just the info on when and where the movie will be acted out.
you were pretty anxious, this was a big deal, and if you failed to act out the movie, your entire acting career will go to waste.
finally, you got to met this ' famous ' actor your manager was so interested in. that actor being none other than itoshi sae.
your eyes widened when you saw him. the same guy who had left you for his dreams. it didnt take a detective to figure out you didnt want to see him. sae caught your gaze, and his eyes widened a bit too, before changing it to his usual poker face.
" i think i'm going to go for a while, i'll be back. " you said, walking away. once you were out of sight, you slid down the wall and panicked. this was the guy you were going to be working with for the next 3 months ??
you were obviously too busy overthinking to notice the managers assistant standing right in front of you.
" l/n-san ? what are you doing, are you ok ? " the girl, whose name is akane, asked. wiping away your tears, you stood up. " i'm fine, akane. " you responded, refusing to meet eyes with her.
" what happened, why were you crying ? was it because of the person you were going to work with ? please tell me l/n-san ! " akane held your hands, worry in her eyes. you cleared your throat, ready to explain your past with sae.
" itoshi sae, he was my childhood friend along with rin. though, he left us to follow his dreams of being an actor. of course, i didn't mind that he wanted to follow his dreams, but he left so suddenly and didnt even spare a goodbye that i felt so heartbroken. i hoped that i would never see him again but, i guess my wish didnt come true huh ? " you explained, eyes welling up with tears.
akane patted your back, trying to calm you down. however, a certain pink haired male had heard all of this, heart aching with guilt and regret.

you had calmed down and your makeup artist did your makeup, covering up any evidence that you were crying. the director was behind the stage, ready to start with the first movie scene.
you saw sae glancing at you for a brief moment, but ignored it nonetheless.
" this scene will be kind of heated. you two will kiss after confessing your love for each other. " the director explained. your eyes widened at his words. akane looked at you worried. sae was just as shocked as you were.
" very well. " sae said. you agreed hesitantly. the both of you sat on the couch, sae hovering above you while you were beneath him.
" y/n, can we talk, after this ? " sae asked, sadness in his voice. " no. why would i ? " you responded, clearly angry.
" y/n plea- " saes words were cut off with the directors voice. " lights, camera, action ! "
" s-sae i love you ! i've always had and i just never got the chance to say that. please. give me a chance ? " you pretend-confessed. saes heart fluttered. he has always wanted to hear you say those very words, but the boy knew very well that this was all an act.
" i-i love you too y/n.. " sae responded, leaning closer to your face. his lips meeting with yours. needless to say, you enjoyed it just a bit. eventually the both of you parted ways. sae was kind of disappointed, but shook away the thought.
" cut ! time for a break. " the director said. you wasted no more time to get up, walking away from the boy who you loved and hated at the same time.
the director let the both of you take a 15 minute break. sae held you wrist, preventing you from going anywhere. you glared at him. " what do you want ? " you spat. sae struggled to find the right words to say.
" i-i'm sorry y/n... " sae said, looking down. your gaze softened for a second, before returning to its normal poker face.
" sae, you are aware that you broke me and rin...right. " you said. sae stayed quiet. you sighed. " sae, i really loved you then. i was so sad to find out you left. and the thing is, i still love you and i hate it. i hate having this feeling in my stomach. i cant stop thinking about you. " you ranted. sae was shocked. he thought you would despise him after all he did.
" i also still love you y/n... please give me another chance ? i promise i'll make you the happiest woman alive. " sae promised, determination in his eyes.
" promise ? "
" promise. "
15 minutes was over. you had decided your final answer. " ok sae, i'll give you another chance, but if you mess this up, then i'll never forgive you. " you said. sae was delighted to hear the news.
the two of you then continued the movie, your love for each other never ending.
p.s, this chapter was inspired by a oneshot of douma and the reader. i really liked the plot and decided that this was going to fit itoshi sae really well.
