10/17/23: ITS MY BIRTHDAY YALL !! :))
YOU had just gotten back from school. it was currently 3:46 in the afternoon and school was tiring. it was your birthday today and the amount of " happy birthdays " you have gotten from the people in school was enough to make anyone feel tired after repeating " thank you " multiple times.
walking down the street, you saw many families spending time together with each other. it kind of makes you feel down because your family wasn't all that close. of course, there was no bad blood between your family but with the amount of work and studies going on, it kinda makes it hard to have quality family time.
the unusual thing was, you havent gotten any " happy birthday " 's from any of your close friends, such as , bachira, chigiri, kunigami. hell, even your boyfriend, isagi, didnt even spare a glance at you the entire day. it didnt matter though. how did you meet your friends ? simple, you had this really big friend group of you and the few soccer teams there was. you could say it was a soccer group chat.
' i wonder if they remembered it was my birthday today. ' you thought. frankly, you didnt care all that much, although it hurt you that none and i mean no one had thought of wishing you a happy birthday.
whenever you asked to talk, hangout, or do anything with them, they would make up an excuse saying they couldnt. it was pretty weird to be honest. you shook away all the bad thoughts and focused on getting home.
unlocking the front door, you turned on the lights and everything was normal. no surprise party, no birthday decorations, not even a cake.
this was totally normal, after all, your family had forgotten your birthday quite a few times.
you just got a text message from isagi, saying to meet him at a cafe. you shrugged. ' why not ? ' you thought.
you saw isagi not so far away from the place you were supposed to meet him at. " hey isagi ! " you said, running to catch up with him.
isagi turned around, shocked to see his girlfriend so early. " o-oh hi y/n. " he stuttered. you questioned his response, since he was never this shy, but chose not to pry any further.
" i have a question. do you know anything special going on today? like a certain special event ? " you asked. isagi shrugged. " y- i mean no. " oh how bad he wanted to say it was your birthday and give you the best hug he could ever give, sadly he couldnt, due to some plans.
" o-oh. i see. " you muttered, looking down. tears pricked your eyes, threatening to fall, yet none did.
isagi frowned seeing your expression. he just wanted to hug you, kiss you, tell you that he remembered. he remembered your birthday.
" we should go to that park over there, just to chill you know. " isagi suggested, not even bothering to ask for your answer and just took you there.
you and isagi sat at a bench, awkwardly looking at anywhere but each others eyes. you noticed isagi was constantly looking at his phone impatiently. was he expecting a message ? yes he was, just not a message you would think he'd be waiting for.
" oh shoot ! sorry babe but i have to go. " he kissed your cheek quickly before running off to who knows where.
you sighed. this day was going by so bad. " why me..." you mumbled, letting a few stray tears fall before wiping them away.
unbeknownst to you, a group of soccer obsessed kids were planning a surprise party for you.
" your putting the banner the wrong way ! " chigiri hissed. " shut up, not like you can do any better. " shidou snapped back.
