Many hospitals were often a dream started by someone who originally wanted to do better treatment in his or her specialty or does something better for the city's people at a low cost. What is usually started with good intentions mostly turns in a different direction. People flock to such hospitals hoping to meet a good doctor and not to pay too much. Initially, these hospitals do not charge but slowly and steadily some hospitals begin raising the consultation fees. Many although unhappy still keep visiting knowing that the doctors at this hospital are good. The cutthroat competition put an intense burden on the doctors working in these hospitals. They are told to give the top quality expensive management and treatment plan which many times isn't required.

A lot of people mainly from the middle class prefer reasonable hospitals but on several occasions, many also go to such kinds of expensive hospitals as they want the best for their health irrespective of the cost mainly if it is a very serious situation. The government hospitals that provide almost everything free are visited mainly by those who do not want to spend any money because of their financial crises. Many good doctors who work in these hospitals also spend a few hours at these expensive corporate hospitals to earn good money and gain a good reputation.

Lakshmi Narayan Hospital was no different from these corporate hospitals. What started as a dream by a woman turned into a nightmare for her children as they could not handle what was left by her. When finally they decided to sell it, the hospital went to a very cunning and cruel man who was unfortunately also a doctor. He made hospitals with the same name in almost every state of the country. Then he turned them all into a corporate hospital that gave good treatment to all kinds of people but the best one to only those who poured good money. To those who gave donations, he would do the most disgusting and illegal things for them in return.

With the wealth that was thrown at him, his fame and power also grew. The old staff at his hospital kept quiet pretending to be blind. Those who opposed him either endangered their life or future. Unlike most of the doctors who mostly lived a simple life, the owner of Lakshmi Narayan Hospital lived in a huge mansion surrounded by immense security. Now at the age of sixty, he had massive wealth and a tremendous reputation which was even out of the country. He was often called for international medical conferences and Forbes named him in the list of the top twenty people most powerful person.

He lived in the mansion with his wife and his two children. His daughter had just started working in his hospital while his son still needed to finish his intermediate. Though everything was going smoothly, a part of him felt something wrong was going to happen soon. He had achieved great success and massive wealth but made a long list of enemies. They were not those workplace colleague types of enemies. These people were those who had grudges deep in their hearts against him and now often at least one of them would appear in his dream.

"Sir, the minister has come."

"Huh?"

Dr Krishna's thoughts were interrupted by his servant. He sat on a grey sofa wearing a white shirt and brown trousers. The couch was opposite a sizeable red quilt that was kept untidily over a black wooden bed.  Beside the couch was a small grey table upon which a newspaper was owned. The white walls of the room held many photographs, most of which were of Dr. Krishna, while some were of a pretty curly-haired woman with sharp features. A couple of them were of a tall and beautiful girl with silky long hair. A few photographs were of a tall teenage boy with messy hair.  Dr Krishna got up straightening his shirt. Today was another big day for him. Today was a meeting with a Minister who came up to him for a proposal. Although he didn't know anything about it, he was informed by his wife that the proposal would make him even more powerful.

The one thing he liked about his wife was that she was equally smart and cunning like him. She knew how to reach the powerful network and she knew what exactly was the best for him. Although his mother would have not liked this. Before she died she wanted him to marry a woman who was not only educated but was very honest. This did not go well with Dr. Krishna. That woman was too straightforward unlike him. After several arguments with his mother, the marriage was called off. However, by the time he married, his mother wasn't alive
