Sneha sat in her white chair beside Ayesha waiting for her turn. Until now only three people had gone in. Sneha sat anxiously waiting for her turn. This was her only chance to get inside the hospital. She despised a doctor like Vikram Malhotra. She did not expect like others in the hospital to be just like the owner of the hospital. If she gets this opportunity, she will do everything possible to make everyone pay for their crimes. She even wants to teach Dr. Vikram Malhotra a good lesson. Without even asking that doctor why she was late, he simply removed her name from the list.
'Today even if I won't be selected, I will not leave this Vikram Malhotra and I will make him come late to his duty' thought Sneha as she sat silently.
"I hope we both get the job. I know it is hard but I feel something good will happen to us today." Said Ayesha, smiling.
Sneha smiled at her. Perhaps in all these twenty years. the only person who spoke with kindness was the girl beside her. At the orphanage, though she always minded her business, many were mean to her. She had never cared as she had one motto in her life but there were times she would want to sit with someone and eat.
"Thanks, Ayesha. Meeting you today, I feel something else. I never felt like this before. I was always alone at the orphanage and the college too."
"Why? College life is something different. Everyone enjoys it." Said Ayesha, surprised.
"No Ayesha, I have seen enough politics in my college. By the time everyone becomes an intern, somehow they all are changed. They are selfish, manipulative, and cunning. Those people only knew how to use and throw. They disgusted me and I decided to stay away from everyone."
"Not everyone is like that."
"This is what I saw until now in my life. I have never seen someone like you but be careful, people in this world are not nice."
"Sneha Mittal!" The man who wore a grey shirt and trousers came out to call her name.
"All the best." Said, Ayesha.
Smiling nervously, she walked towards the door of the room inside. Upon reaching the door, she pushed the half-opened door to walk inside.
"May I come in?" Asked Sneha, before stepping inside the room.
She wanted to be as polite as possible so that everyone inside would like her. Inside the room was a huge conference table. Two old men and one old woman were sitting on the right side on a black rotating chair. However, the left side, opposite them, had only one black chair. The old woman wore a simple cotton white sari while the men wore black suits and black trousers.
"Please come inside and sit." Said the old woman politely pointing to the black chair opposite them.
Thanking her, Sneha sat on the chair, keeping her position as upright as possible. The woman sat in the middle while the men sat on either side. The man on the right was bald and did not have any moustache while the other man had grey-white hair with a French beard. The moment Sneha saw the man with the beard, she clenched her fist. She remembered who he was. This was the man who visited her house after her father died. He was the man who molested her mother. He was the man who ruined her family and destroyed her childhood.
Keeping her anger in check, she forcefully smiled as the three people looked at the documents that she had provided the hospital through the email.
"Good morning Sneha, My name is Dr Lakshmi Gaddam. To my right is Dr. Sunil Mehta and to my left is Dr. Krishna Bhandari." Said the woman in front of her.
"Good morning Mam. Good morning Sirs." Said Sneha, trying her best to be polite.
"Dr. Lakshmi is the head of the cardiology department in this hospital. She is one of the senior doctors here. Dr. Krishna is not just the owner of this hospital but also the head of the emergency department." Said Dr Mehta.
