Marissa rushed around the bakery trying to help her mother with the bakery. But when she thought she was being helpful her mother thought she was just being a hindrance because she kept pushing past her trying to get to the ovens and the counter. Her mother knew this could be the last time her daughter would push past her and give out her feisty comments to the customers. No mother wanted to think of her daughter being taken from her and it not be due to old age. It's her worst nightmare to wake up after Marissa had been taken by The Ravens and not see her bouncing up and down or singing in the back of the bakery. As her mother stood watching her daughter trying to help as she balanced hot bread on one tray and loaves ready for the oven on the other. She couldn't help but smile at her daughter's attempts at being helpful. The door bell sounded and in walked a young women with her hood covering her face Marissa's mother gasped and ushered Marissa into the back much to Marissa's protests.
" Marissa you do as I say , I need to speak to Lady Harrison alone!" Her mother told her
Marissa knew it was about her when she said her name. That's Bennet's mother. She thought. Her lovely Bennet. Her saviour. Maybe it wouldn't hurt if she took a peak round the kitchen doorway and listen in. She thought. But she knew her mother wouldn't be happy and neither would The Raven's especially as she had to say out of trouble of they could use it against her at her hearing tomorrow. So she slumped against the door and sighed. Being good was hard for Marissa , as it meant no cheeky comments or pulling pranks on anyone. But she knew her mother would appreciate it if she stayed out of trouble as ip even if Bennet didn't show up she was able to still have a chance. She could have her soul enlightened and would have no horrible emotions like the rest of her family.Marissa's mother smiled At Lady Harrison as she took her good delicately off her head to reveal her slowly greying hair. Lady Harrison got something out of her small hand bag and handed it to her. It was a letter addressed to Marissa in beautiful cursive handwriting. Lady Harrison saw her scared face and reached for her hand.
" don't worry it's not from the Ravens , Jen I promise it's from Bennet. I don't know what it says but it's probably about tomorrow. I know it's hard. But I know Bennet will testify." Lady Harrison whispered to Marrisa's mother.
" oh thank you Kate the thought of Bennet testifying will help me sleep soundly knowing that Marissa will have the best chances tomorrow at the hearing." Marissa's mother whispered back and Lady Harrison smiles.
" Are you finished talking yet. I am bored!" Marissa shouts from the back and her mother rolls her eyes and lady Harrison lightly giggles.
" I will leave you be then , see you at the hearing Jen and don't worry she will be fine" lady Harrison says and puts her hood back up.
Lady Harrison leaves the bakery and opens the kitchen door and Marrisa's fell.
" I wasn't listening I promise." Marissa protests and her mother laughs and hands her the letter.
