After the incident that crushed his arm, Leo was careful to never put any pressure on it as everytime he did it always sent his mind back into when the beam was on top of it

Of course he never told anyone but he couldn't stop the occasional sharp inhale when someone grabbed his arm or when someone was sitting next to him on the couch as leaned against him

Sometimes though... Someone would get suspicious and ask what's wrong

He always said it was nothing and they left it at that

But today someone decided to push

Leo and the team were hanging around the living quarters

Leo and Chase were on the couch, Lek scrolling through social media and Chase doing... Whatever Chase dies on his phone

Adam and Bree were making some sandwiches in the kitchen

Every time Leo laughed at something it usually meant was gonna show Chase so this time when he laughed, Chase just leaned closer to look and Leo was already moving the phone towards him

Chase -without realizing it- leaned on Leo's arm and like usual, Leo gave a sharp inhale before breathing out and showing Chase the video but Chase just paused it for a moment

"Why do you do that?" He asked quietly so the older 2 wouldn't hear him

"Do what?" Leo asked just as quietly, catching on that this is a more private conversation

"You always sharply inhale when someone grabs or leans on your arm, why?" Chase elaborated

Leo looked at the other 2 who were still in the kitchen before looking back at Chase and shaking his head

"I'll tell you but not with them around" Leo said hesitantly

Chase nodded before motioning for Leo to stand up and standing himself so they could go somewhere else

"We'll be back in a bit" Chase called out as he and Leo walked towards the beach

"K" Bree responded

They stood on the beach, Leo skipping rocks to keep his mind focused

"So..?" Chase asked slowly, urging Leo to talk

Leo sighed

"I know Perry and Douglas told you about the... Incident that crushed my arm" Leo started, Chase nodded for him to continue "what they.. Didn't tell you... Was while they were there for the last 5 minutes of it.... I was stuck there for about 30 minutes before they woke up and the fire department arrived"

Chase kept his eyes on Leo the whole time while Leo refused to look at him

"And while I just said it was thirty minutes... It felt more like hours... But now, even though it's been over six months... Everytime there's any pressure on my arm... Like someone grabbing it or leaning on it... All I can feel is the beam crushing my arm" Leo explained, subconsciously rubbing his arm to remind himself where he was
