Lab rats one shots

Leo walked into the lab while letting out a frustrated groan

He sat at his station, putting his head in his arms, on is table

"Something wrong?" Douglas asked, putting down a project he was working on

Leo sighed

"Adam was supposed to see the new TMNT movie with me today but he bailed" Leo told him

"Why'd he bail?" Douglas questioned

"I don't know, he and Chase are doing something I think, and Bree isn't interested" Leo picked his head back up

"What about Donald?"

"He said he never wanted to take me to see a movie again after I lied to him last time" Leo explained

"Ah" Douglas nodded in understanding "don't you have friends?"

"Do you think is be here all the time if I did?"

"Right"

...

"I could go with you" Douglas offered

Leo looked at him

"Really?" He asked with slightly wide eyes "wait... You aren't messing with me are you?"

Douglas shook his head

"No, I've got nothing better to do anyway, you got the money for it?" Douglas asked

Leo nodded, a smile growing on his face

"When does it start?"

"At seven" Leo answered

Douglas glanced at his watch

4:57 pm

"That gives us about an hour and a half to kill" Douglas said "how about you tell me a bit more about TMNT and which variation this movie is"

Leo's smile grew wider as he started telling Douglas about all the things each generation of TMNT had in common and how this movie was gonna be different than the others cause Leo was gonna help Raph with his anger issues instead of being the cause

Douglas listened closely, actually taking an interest in this 'kids cartoon'

He could already tell that Raph would be one of his favorites and Donnie would be his least favorite -because of the similar name to his brother-

He didn't understand how this kid didn't have any friends but hey? It's their loss

When 6:30 can around, they started getting ready to go

Leo already had a TMNT shirt that he planned on wearing so Douglas just wore something green

They had a great time

The movie was awesome

They made a plan to binge watch the other generations of TMNT together when they got home but first they were gonna go walk around for a bit since it was only 9

"Thanks for going with me Douglas" Leo said "you didn't have to"

"If I didn't go with you then you weren't gonna go at all so.. I figured, why not?" Douglas told him "besides, it was actually a pretty good movie"

"It was awesome!" Leo exclaimed with enthusiasm "the rise movie was a little more 'action packed' but this one was still great"

Douglas nodded

"I'm kind of excited to watch the other ones now" he said before stopping in his tracks "don't tell anyone I said that"

Leo nodded

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that you actually like hanging out with me" Leo half joked

"Oh- no- you can tell people I don't mind hanging out with you, I meant don't tell anyone that I enjoyed this movie so much or that I want to watch the other ones" Douglas elaborated

"Wow" Leo muttered

"What?" Douglas asked, mildly concerned at Leo's tone

"Didn't think there'd be a day where someone other than my mom said they liked hanging out with me" Leo smiled "especially not you"

"Well... You aren't the worst kid in the world" Douglas said "I'm still not entirely sure why you don't have friends"

"Cause I'm the 'weird, superhero obsessed kid that likes hanging out in the robotics lab at school' according to... Well just about everyone" Leo explained

"The school has a robotics lab?" Douglas asked

"It's not for regular students but I may know how to pick a lock or two" Leo smirked

"And nobody stopped you?"

"In order to stop me, they'd have to put their hands on me and if my mom caught wind that a grown ass man touched me just to keep me out of a room, they'd never hear the end of it"

Douglass couldn't help but be a little proud of this kid now

"Are we sure there wasn't a mix up with you and Chase?" He joked "you act more like me than he does"

If Douglas stayed in Leo's room all night so he and Leo could watch every variation of TMNT... that's their business

Btw, the movie they went to see was mutant mayhem

I was gonna go see it with my sister but by the time we had the money for it, it was no longer playing in our theater :(

I have watched the rise movie though

And ROTTMNT and 2012 TMNT

I love them so much :3
