There was a sudden shift before the ship teetered violently. Issac barely reacted in time to catch himself as he planted his feet on what should have been the wall beside him, not the floor. This was bad, the shift meant that they had lost another engine and were now hurtling uncontrollably towards whatever was below them. Steve and Tony needed to work faster before they were all killed.
He made it to the detention level at the same time as Phil, only coming from the opposite direction. Loki was standing beside the control panel, grinning sadistically at his brother. They had switched places, Thor was now locked in the cell Loki should have been in, and the mischief maker had complete control over him now. With a simply press of a button, he could send Thor hurtling down to Earth, and he didn't look all too bothered by it either.
Considering Thor had made it here before himself, he must have dealt with the Hulk by now. That was a little relieving, they wouldn't have to worry about him destroying the inside of the ship, but this was another problem entirely.
"The humans think us immortal. Shall we test that?" his tone was playful as he reached for the large red button.
"Step away please." Coulson's voice rang out through the quiet area.
Loki hadn't noticed him yet, his eyes were trained on Coulson and the large gun he had in his hands. He kept his footsteps silent as he carefully made his way around the cage. Thor's eyes glanced towards him briefly before looking away, not wanting to give him away. He saw it before anyone else did, a second Loki creeping up behind the agent with the scepter in hand, ready to strike. He acted on instinct, firing twice at the so-called god across the cell.
Loki looked momentarily surprised by the hot pieces of metal bouncing off his armor, frowning in Issac's direction. The real Loki, the illusion, who had been standing by the control panel, flickered and disappeared into nothing. His frown was quickly replaced by a thin line as he easily sent Coulson flying into the wall behind him. His body collided against the metal with a sickening crunch Issac could only hope wasn't his skull and just some other unimportant bone. His human body was no match for the strength of an apparent god, and to think that this one was considerably weaker than Thor.
"What is it with you puny mortals and starting battles you have no hope in winning?" he asked, that smirk slowly making its way onto his face once again. It was the same smirk he wore when he was first escorted down into his cell, cocky, sly, as if he had everything all planned out and would come out on top regardless. That he knew something they didn't.
Issac forced himself not to look at Coulson's limp form against the wall, keeping his eyes trained on the man in front of him as he slowly approached, gun pointing directly at his forehead.
"You know that won't do anything against me, right?" The man tilted his head slightly.
"I don't care. It still hurts like a bitch." He spat.
"Oh, feisty." Loki hummed playfully, grin widening. "I like this one." he turned his gaze to his brother for a moment, talking about Issac as if he wasn't even in the room with him. As if he wasn't even considered a threat to them. "He has a fire in him your friends don't share, I'm afraid."
Issac narrowed his eyes, skeptical as to what this man was planning.
"Put the scepter down, Loki." he ordered calmly, taking another step forward. The green eyes were suddenly on him again, much less playful this time. Oh, Loki was running on limited time. He only had so long before S.H.I.E.L.D managed to pull themselves together and his distraction would become futile.
"I'm afraid you're going to have to make me."
"Child, you are no match for him!" Thor warned from behind the glass, pressing his fist against it.
