A loud, high pitched ringing tore through the casual party atmosphere. Issac suddenly sat up and winced, moving to cover his ears for a moment before the sound faded out. Tony frowned, moving to see which one of his inventions could have possibly gone rogue during the party, or if there was a problem he could fix that was causing the noise.

Issac noticed them first. A figure, hidden away in the shadows as they staggered forward mumbling to themselves. As it slowly approached the light, he realized that perhaps 'it' would suit it better than referring to it as a human being. It was one of Tony's Iron Legion bots, however it was beyond dismantled and damaged, torn down to nothing but scraps of metal and wires still leaking fluid and oil along the floor as it looked at them.

Steve was on his feet instantly, all traces of a smile and the playing around from earlier gone as a serious expression remained.

"Stark."

"Jarvis." Tony called out, looking down at the device in his hands. "Reboot legionnaire OS. We've got a buggy suit." he mumbled.

Jarvis not responding was Issac's first concern, the second was how this thing seemed to not only know them, but had some form of intelligence. It wasn't like any of Tony's other programs he had developed, seeming to quite literally have a mind of its own. He slowly stood up, blocking out the rest of the conversation as his eyes shifted to an iridescent blue. It seemed as though everyone else was doing the same, Maria was removing the safety of a small handgun she kept on her while the other's slowly got to their feet.

In a flash, the rest of the Iron Legion suddenly broke through the wall behind the figure, flying in several different directions to attack the Avengers. Steve kicked up the table as a barrier while Maria and Rhodey dove for cover, only for him to be sent back by one of the suits colliding with it. Issac used his abilities to slow Steve's fall before dodging a suit seconds before it would have collided with him. He raised a hand, blue and purple wisps wrapping around the suit before it was yanked backwards. Thor was waiting there to slam his hammer through the metal, destroying it easily.

They quickly parted as other bots began shooting at them, shattered glass flying in every direction from the destruction across the floor. Issac felt something collide with his side before he was in the air, flying over the railing and landing on one of the lower floors with a groan. He could feel broken glass digging into several parts of his body, forcing himself to roll over and pull himself to his feet just in time to see half of a suit approaching Dr. Cho.

Issac wasn't sure what he did, his powers shifting from a light blue to a dark, nearly ominous purple. He brought his hands together before pulling them apart, the bot being dismantled within seconds as its pieces clattered to the floor, useless and powerless. His eyes faded back to normal as he jogged over, carefully helping the female to his feet. If he felt bad earlier, he only felt worse now. She was the only non-combatant among them and while a good portion of them didn't have special abilities, they still had extensive knowledge and training. They should have immediately jumped in to protect her first above all else.

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking her over for any injuries.

Helen nodded, frowning in concern as the fighting died down around them.

"You're bleeding-" Her fingers hovered over the glass shards embedded into his cheek and above his eyebrow, but not touching them.

Issac glanced at his reflection in the glass window behind her, letting out a small sigh at the sight of himself.

"Don't worry about that, come on." he gently guided her forward, up towards Tony's lab where they could reconvene and figure out what the hell just happened. Natasha changed into more casual and comfortable clothing, handing Helen a sweater to pull over her dress so she wouldn't be cold.
