Alexander Branson
Hi my name is Alexander Branson and last week I've met the weirdest person in my life, and unfortunately that is my girlfriend's best friend Matilda Bradley.
I don't want to sound rude but she's kind of creeping me out...
As soon as I met Matilda I felt uneasy, her odd mannerisms and unsettling gaze made me feel uncomfortable from the start. She had a strange aura of intensity and creepiness about her, and while I didn't know exactly why, I couldn't shake the feeling that Matilda might be hiding something sinister or bad. I didn't want to be rude or disrespectful, but I couldn't ignore the uneasy feeling he felt in her presence.
The longer I spent with Matilda, the more I felt her unsettling presence, like a constant burden on in mind. I tried to shake it off, to convince myself that there was nothing to fear, but my instincts told me otherwise. Matilda's odd behavior, the way she seemed to be able to read my mind, it was all so strange and unnerving, or maybe I'm just paranoid.
Anyway since that's in the past I'm thankful that I wouldn't be able to see Matilda again. I thought to myself until my girlfriend called me.
"Hey babe... can you do me a favor..." Eleanor said. She sounds so worried or nervous?
"Sure? Is there something wrong?" I asked
"Can you please check on Matilda" "I'm really worried about her..."
Before I could even respond, Eleanor continued.
"She has been acting really weird," she said, her voice filled with worry. "And I'm scared... That she is hurting herself or something..."
I felt a lump form in my throat as I tried to comprehend what she was saying.
"What?" I said, my voice shaking. "What do you mean?"
"Just check on her...Please." she said. "I have this weird feeling that something is wrong. Can you please go to our apartment and check on her? Make sure she's okay?"
"Of course," I said, feeling anxious myself. "I'll go over there right now."
_____________
As I stood outside Matilda's apartment building, my heart racing as I anticipated what I might find. As I climbed the stairs to her apartment, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. When I knocked on her door, there was no answer, and my heart sank. I tried texting Matilda, but still no response.
I leaned my head against the door, feeling defeated. Suddenly, I heard a faint noise coming from inside the apartment. My heart started beating even faster as I knocked on the door.
The apartment was dark and quiet, with only the occasional sound of a distant car horn interrupting the stillness. "Mat? It's me, Alexander... Eleanor called me and she said she wants me to check on you..."
The silence was deafening, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was terribly wrong. Suddenly, I saw a faint light coming from the apartment, and I heard Matilda's voice, barely audible. "Alexander" ...
"Yeah? It's me Alexander... is there something wrong or something?" "Can I come in?"
"Oh uh...." She said then there is a sudden silence before she talks again. "Yeah... you can come in,"
Great.
"Mat? Are you okay?" I asked her, quietly.
Then there she was as soon as she opened the door she just stared at me blankly and god it was creepy... I have a theory that she is on drugs.
