Alexander Bradley
I spent the next few days searching the web for information about the effects of drug use. I have scoured every article and study I could find, trying to learn as much as possible about the dangers of drugs. I became so increasingly convinced that Matilda's behavior was caused by drug use.
And as I continued my searches, I started to notice that there was a lot of misinformation and misconceptions about drug use and addiction. I knew that I myself needed to be careful when it came to understanding the complexities and nuances of drug use, and I became determined to find accurate and reliable sources of information.
I spent hours researching and educating myself on drug use, addiction, and recovery. I also made an appointment with a therapist who specialized in addiction, so that I could get professional advice and support. I knew it was going to be a long journey.
And my roommate even calls me crazy and paranoid and I'm the one who's in drugs.
"dude you need to calm the f-train down." My roommate sarcastically said.
I couldn't help but feel frustrated with my roommate's lack of understanding. And I knew I had to stay focused on what was important: Matilda is on drugs and she's a danger to Eleanor.
"Look, Sam," I said. "I am not on drugs, but Matilda is. I've been doing my research, to prove to my girlfriend that Matilda is an addict!"
Sam looked at me skeptically. "sure, buddy."
He didn't even believe me, so I decided to take a different approach. So Instead, I decided to focus on the facts. I showed Sam the articles and studies I had found online, highlighting the symptoms Matilda was exhibiting: erratic behavior, mood swings, and changes in physical appearance. I even pointed out the fact that Matilda's apartment had become disheveled, which was a common sign of drug use.
"Sam, look at this," I said. "There's a lot of evidence that Matilda is using drugs. And what's worse, I'm worried that it's affecting Eleanor. since she's her roommate and been spending a lot of time with Matilda and always taking her side all the time, and I don't want her to get hurt."
"Okay buddy, I've heard enough." "You're going Insane" he said trying to hold his laugh.
My frustration with Sam right now Is mounting. Sam's disbelief and mockery were making me feel like I was being pushed into a corner. I knew that I had to find a way to get through to Sam, to make him see that this was a serious issue. So I took a deep breath, calming myself before speaking.
"Look, Sam," I started. "I know I'm not perfect. I've been wrong before, I've overreacted, and I've made mistakes. But this is different. I've seen the signs, I've done the research, and I know what's going on here. Matilda is in serious trouble, and if we don't do something soon, it could ruin Eleanor's life!"
I looked directly into Sam's eyes. "I need your help, Sam. Will you stand with me on this? Will you help me save Eleanor from Matilda?"
After my beautiful speech, he just burst out laughing.
I couldn't believe it. I thought Sam was on my side, but now he is laughing at me?! The situation feels hopeless. I fear and anxiety were reaching new heights, and I didn't know what to do. I tried to calm myself down, but I couldn't shake the feeling that Matilda might do something to hurt Eleanor.
"Sam, please, "I said, desperation creeping into my voice.
I tried to make eye contact with Sam again, hoping to convey the seriousness of the situation. But Sam was laughing at my words just completely dismissing me, like he didn't believe a word I was saying. It was crushing.
