"Fuck!" I murmured.
I stood there in shock for some time. My hand clutched my phone, staring at the picture. Anger rose, followed closely by fear, confusion. What was she thinking? Was she crazy? Did she really take a picture of us while we were asleep?!
I ran a frustrated hand through my hair. I headed to the balcony, needing fresh air to cool down my anger. I needed to solve this mess before Y/N woke up.
Taking a deep breath, I decided to call Ippei. I pressed the button, waiting for him to pick up."What makes you call me so early" I heard Ippei groggily slur through the phone. He must have been asleep.
"Ippei, I need your help" I started without preamble. "I can't handle this alone."
He hummed on the other line. "What happened?" he asked.
His voice still sounded like sleep, but the worry in his tone wasn't lost on me.
"Uhm.... I..." I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. I had to focus. "I did have one night stand with a girl. Her name is Yukiko." I paused momentarily to catch my breath before continuing, but he stopped me with an unbelievable tone.
"Wait... are you telling me you slept with a stranger?"
"I--yes! But the problem is ..." I blurted out nervously, suddenly feeling more vulnerable than ever before.
"You did?" He continued, sounding shocked.
"Y-yes. Come on, Ippei, I'm 29 years old and I also got needs!" I replied. That didn't stop him, though.
"I thought the only thing you know is baseball and crepes." he was definitely laughing on the other end of the line. "How was it?"
My face flushed. "Stop mocking me! I just did it once and only because I was drunk!" I shouted in annoyance.
"Ok, Ok. So what's the problem?"
I let out a huge breath, trying to calm myself down again. "She took a picture without my consciousness and sent it to me." I could hear Ippei's confused expression. "It was when we were in bed." my voice trailed off as embarrassment washed over me again.
This time, it was Ippei's turn to sigh heavily. "You should know better than to do something that stupid." he scolded me. "What if she send it to the media?" I tried not to think about what he was implying.
"She wouldn't do that, right?" I said weakly. The idea seemed impossible to me. I didn't want to believe any of my actions had been wrong, or even thoughtless.
Silence greeted my question. A moment of silence passed until I finally heard Ippei's voice again. "Who knows? But why did she send it to you? When did you two sleep together?"
I took in another breath to reply. "It was December last year." I felt a lump forming in my throat, choking my words. "When I went to a club with the team." I swallowed hard. "I think she had a reason to wait until now to send me this picture."
"Oh god," He exhaled heavily. "Seems like the person she target was not you"
'Yes' I responded bitterly. After a moment of silence, I decided to continue the conversation. "What should I do?"
Ippei hesitated. I knew he was probably trying to come up with a solution but couldn't find any.
"I'll find a way, don't you worry much about it" he offered, trying to reassure me.
I bit my lower lip, unsure. "Ippei, I wasn't afraid of her or the press. But how am I going to protect Y/N from it?"
Silence. I waited impatiently for him to answer. Finally he responded, "We would find out way before Y/N knew it. You can have a conversation with Y/N when things are okay" I could almost see him shrug on his end.
"But-"
"For now, don't think about it too much," he interrupted. "Your MLB All Star schedule starts tomorrow, just let me take care of this and you focus on the baseball"
I closed my eyes and nodded slowly. "I got it, Ippei" I murmured.
And with that I ended the call and lay back in bed. Y/N shifted beneath me and mumbled incoherently in her sleep. I smiled and stroked her hair tenderly.
Y/N's POV
Today Shohei would fly to Seattle to prepare for the All Star game. He was gonna have a tight schedule as the promotion, conferences, red carpet, interviews and all that stuff was happening in just one week.
In a few hours, he would leave and I'd be at home waiting for him.
This was the first time we have to separate for such a long time, since we officially dated. Though we were both busy with our jobs and careers as well as our studies and training. But at the end of the day, we would be together in our lovely private space, forgeting all about the world. But this time it was really different.
I helped him pack his bags, making sure to bring everything that was necessary for his stay at the airport. His suitcase was already in the car and his flight was leaving soon.
"Get enough sleep and don't forget to call me!"I hugged him tightly, burying my face in his chest. I could feel his chest move with every deep breath he took as I held onto him.
"Of course, I'll miss you," he whispered, caressing my hair softly with his hand. "Take care of yourself, my princess"
I pulled away reluctantly. "I will," I muttered quietly, unable to hold his gaze.
"I love you so much, Princess."
I couldn't help a small smile crossing my lips. I always loved it when he called me "princess". The butterflies erupted in my stomach as he leaned forward to kiss me. I closed my eyes for a moment, savoring the soft sensation of his lips on mine.
I broke the contact before he could deepen the kiss. "Go, or you're gonna be left behind" I urged, pushing against his chest lightly.
He chuckled softly, giving me a light kiss on my forehead before heading toward the door. "I'll see you next week, baby" he smiled.
"See ya, love." I waved after him with a big grin. I waited for him go down the hall before closing the door and locking it.
Note: This chapter is shorter than usual, but due to my script, it is reasonable to end this chapter in here. I'll post the new one asap.
(I've made my script to the final chapter, don't worry I won't drop it!)
(and I'm still working on your requests!)
Thank you for waiting for my update <3
