That night, when I came home, my feet were lighter than usual. I didn't feel pain in my chest anymore. I got home, sneaked into my bed. I closed my eyes, knowing that everything would be fine and finally ready for my big game tomorrow.

Day 5

I woke up with full of energy. I checked the phone, scrolling down all the notifications and get to my favourite one:

My princess Y/N:
Good luck, my big boy! Sending lots of hugs and kisses from Anaheim! Mommy waiting for Daddy to come home xxxx

I grinned, feeling like the happiest guy ever. My girlfriend was the best. She always knew how to make me feel better. I quickly texted her back, and then got up to prepare for the game.

The Seattle air was chilly but warm. It was a nice change from the Anaheim heat. I was wearing a green jersey, the team's colours. The All-Star Game started at 8:00 p.m but I had to be at T-Mobile Park at 10:00 AM to practice some more before it. When I arrived at T Mobile Park at 9:50, a lot of people were already there, stretching. I had to admit that the game was kinda tough for me. I'd played against the best of the best. But one way or another, I'd win this game.

This year was no different, as I had once again put on a stellar performance, hitting home runs and wowing the crowd with my incredible skills on the field. The fans cheered for me, and the excitement of the game coursed through my veins. It was moments like these that made all the hard work and dedication worth it.

The Locker room after the winning game was packed with players who celebrated with beers. My teammates congratulated me, and I hugged them with all the love they deserved. They poured beers on me and slapped my back, congratulating me for a job well done. Some even threw me a beer. At 10 o'clock sharp, I took a quicker shower and went back to the hotel. Ippei waited for me outside the stadium, and we both got in his car, headed towards hotel.

"How do you feel right now?" Ippei started the conversation by asking.

"Good" I answered. "The game was perfect"

"Anything else?" he asked, looking at me in the rearview mirror.

"About the photo, I've asked Yoshinori to help me. He'll send me the password of Yukiko's phone later" I replied, leaning forward to rest my head on the seat.

"Yoshinori? Who is he?" he asked curiously.

"It's a long story. We can trust him" I told him, sitting up straight again.

After our brief conversation in the car, Ippei and I continued the drive back to the hotel in comfortable silence. The adrenaline rush from the game had subsided, leaving me with a sense of satisfaction and exhaustion.

As I entered my hotel room, kicked off my shoes and settled onto the plush couch. I lounged on the bed, my phone buzzed with a new message. It was from Yoshinori, and my heart skipped a beat as I opened it.
