"Shohei Ohtani lived out an enchanting fairytale as the World Baseball Classic finally came of age."

My heart swelled with pride as I saw my name boldly emblazoned on the front pages of newspapers across the entire country. Congratulatory messages poured in from every corner, celebrating our remarkable victory in the World Series. It was going to be an unforgettable night for all of us.

Amidst the jubilation in the locker room, our coaches began their announcement, and a thunderous cheer erupted from the team. I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear, my cheeks aching from the sheer joy radiating within me. We had worked tirelessly for this moment, and we deserved every ounce of celebration. The raucous revelry had officially begun when a cascade of cold beer rained down upon me. I laughed heartily as I made my way towards our coach, arms wide open, embracing the cheers and applause of those who had gathered to honor us. They swarmed around me, offering their congratulations, laughter filling the air as they held beers in their hands.

Once the press had departed and my teammates continued to sing and dance, Nootbars leading the cacophony, I discreetly slipped away to a quiet room. It was the only place where I could have a private moment to make a call.

"Princess!" I beamed as her face lit up on the screen, knowing it must be early morning there.

"Babyy!! Congratulations!" she squealed with unbridled excitement, causing me to chuckle softly.

"Thank you, princess," I replied, my grin unwavering as I settled onto a bench.

"So, how does it feel? To become the best player in the WBC?" Her innocent grin tugged at my heartstrings.

"I don't know... Just... relief," I sighed with a profound sense of contentment.

"I'm so proud of you, my big boy," she said, her smile radiant and genuine.

"Wish you were here," I admitted honestly. I longed to hold her, to breathe in her familiar scent, to feel the warmth of her skin, and simply talk to her, but circumstances kept us apart.

"I miss you too, baby," her voice, although cheerful, revealed traces of fatigue. Her complexion seemed a shade paler than usual, and her usual boundless energy appeared slightly diminished.

"Are you losing weight?" I inquired, my suspicions surfacing. Was she eating properly? "Are you getting enough sleep?" My worry for her deepened. "Is everything okay?" I furrowed my brow.

"Everything is fine, baby," she reassured me hastily. "I've got a surprise for you," she added with a playful giggle.

"Really? What is it?" I asked, curiosity piqued.

"A secret keeps a woman mysterious," she teased, and I gasped playfully before breaking into laughter.

"Okay, okay. I'll be patient," I replied, trying to suppress my amusement.
