Saint George's, Grenada
10:29 PM Eastern"I'm going to fucking kill you!" Christian growled.
Hannah grabbed Hunter's arm and tried to pull him away from Christian. He flicked her hand off easily. Christian threw an uppercut and hit Hunter in the chin. Hunter stumbled back and touched his jaw. Christian's hands were in fists. Gio was standing protectively in front of Stella with his arm out in front of her.
"Hunter, stop!" She screeched.
"You're so dead," Hunter glowered.
Hannah watched helplessly as round two started. Hunter threw another jab towards Christian's nose. He started throwing punches wildly and carelessly, hoping that one would land and unbalance Christian. She kept yelling at both of them to stop.
All of the sudden, Stella was running towards Hunter. She wrapped her arms around his legs and tackled him to the ground. Hannah gasped. Christian leaned down and plucked Hunter off Stella. While Hunter was still on the ground, Gio kicked him hard in the eye. Hunter let out a cry of pain. Hannah hurried over and helped Stella up to her feet.
"You fucking dick!" Gio yelled.
Hannah held on to Stella watching the madness unfold. Cameras were flashing all around then. Her heart sank. Hunter slapped Gio across the face and grabbed his jersey collar. Hunter then punched her cousin in the nose. Blood began trickling down Gio's face. Hunter tried to hit Gio again, but Gio was throwing his fist into Hunter's stomach.
Hannah could hear wild yelling. She assumed it was a couple of Christian's teammates coming to help him. She shook her head unable to believe that Hunter and Christian were fighting again. Hunter suddenly became unbalanced and started falling backwards. She could see hands around her neck. She gasped when she saw that Joah had jumped on her fiancé's back and was trying to strangle him.
Gio spotted him around the same time, "Joah! Get off!" Gio yanked him off of Hunter. However, Hunter still elbowed Joah in the face as he tried to regain his balance and breath. "What the fuck?!" Gio yelled at Hunter.
Hannah cringed, "stop it!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, more people arrived. Brenden grabbed Hunter and spun him around. He began shoving the chef towards the tunnel. Ricardo and Matt helped Brenden with Hunter.
Weston held on to Chris as he yelled profanities over his shoulder at Hunter. Chase held on to both of Christian's arms trying to talk some sense into him. Hannah looked around and saw Gio making sure Joah was okay. Carolina was bawling hysterically.
"HANNAH!" Hunter yelled over his shoulder from Brendan's grip, "HANNAH!"
Hannah closed her eyes and hung her head. She sighed and bit her lip, ready to go catch up to Hunter. She was furious with him for starting a fight with Christian. In Florida, Christian threw the first punch, so Hunter's reaction was self-defence. This time, Hunter started the fight after he promised he wouldn't.
"Don't go, Princess," Christian's voice cut through the chaos of the yelling and cameras.
Hannah looked back at Christian before looking back towards Hunter. Tears welled in her eyes. She knew she had to go with Hunter, but something pulled her to Christian. She reached out to touch his face. She pulled back for a millisecond. Her pointer finger and thumb were on his cheek, and her other fingers were touching Christian's jaw and just behind his ear. She rubbed her thumb over his dirty cheek.
A shiver ran through Hannah. It was foreign yet so familiar touching Christian's face. Staring into his eyes she could've just crumpled to his feet and begged him to take her back. She could've kissed him. But she didn't. It was better for everyone if she was out of the picture.
She took a deep shaky breath before whispering, "it'll be easier this way."
"Hannah, no," Christian grabbed her other hand.
She pulled away as he said her name again. She turned on her heel and ran towards the tunnel. She looked up to the stands and saw Danielle, Claudio, Mark, Kelley, Austin, and Devyn hurrying back down the stairs towards the wall. She squeezed her eyes and blocked out their faces.
It was only a couple more seconds before she made it to where Brenden and Matt had Hunter pinned to a wall inside the tunnel. Hannah sighed. She shook her head.
"Hey," she said awkwardly.
"Seriously, Hannah?" Brenden glowered.
"Don't take that fucking tone with me, Brenden. Do you really think I'm happy about this?" She snapped.
"Hannah, please get Hunter out of here," the authority in Matt's voice sliced through the tension.
"I'll gladly leave," Hunter spat some blood out that landed near Ricardo's feet.
"You better watch yourself, Fieri," Ricardo squared up.
"Ricardo," Hannah pressed her hands against his chest, "please don't. I-I can't handle another fight."
Ricardo's jaw moved back and forth before he nodded. Hannah let out a small sigh of relief. He gave her a quick hug. Hannah turned to Brenden. She laid a hand on his arm.
"Thanks."
"Mhm," he pulled her in for a hug. His lips brushed against her ear, "take care, Han. I'm a message away."
Hannah nodded a little and let go of him. She looked at Hunter who seemed to be calming down. Matt looked at her and tilted his head. Hannah nodded, and Matt slowly let go of Hunter.
"Hannah," Hunter murmured and immediately pulled her in for a hug.
Hannah hugged him back. She began rubbing her hands up and down his back before making small circles with her thumbs, "we'll talk in private."
"Okay," he agreed.
Hannah pushed him off her and turned to Matt. He was watching them with narrowed eyes. Hannah tilted her head at him, "hug?"
Matt nodded and held an arm out. She moved in and hugged the goalie. She was standing on her toes, while Matt leaned down. She rested her chin on his shoulder. She squeezed her eyes shut tightly, trying to keep the tears from spilling out.
"Tell Ash I said hello?"
"I will," he said loudly before whispering, "stay safe, Han. We love you."
"Thanks, Matt," Hannah gave him a tiny nod before walking back over to Hunter.
The adrenaline was clearly wearing off. Hunter was looking tired and remorseful. She moved so that his arm was around her shoulders, and she was holding on to his wrist. Hannah wrapped her other arm around his waist.
"C'mon. Let's go."
"Are you staying in Grenada?" Matt asked.
"No. We're heading back Stateside now," Hannah shook her head.
"Okay," Brenden furrowed his brows.
"See you in June for your wedding," Ricardo waved.
"Right," she agreed.
"Take care, Han," Matt's smile was clearly forced.
"C'mon, you," Hannah sighed as they started walking through the tunnel towards the exit.
The SUV was still waiting for them. Hannah helped Hunter get in and then got in on the other side. Hunter slumped over and laid his head in Hannah's lap. She sighed and ran her fingers through his hair.
"Can we talk?" She asked.
"Can we later? Like maybe in Miami?"
"Okay," she sighed.
