A/N 2: part of it was edited so things make more sense
"This is the last day before the play! Hurry up and practice!" Leixin yelled, as they concluded another practice scene. Today, there was no sun and the sky was filled with dark clouds.
The crew has had enough arguing for a month, and quickly got into position for Scene 3. They had practiced for ages now for several days and performed each bit impeccably.
Once more the play reached the part where Kiyo 'summons' lightning and fire. Just was fire was abour to burst, a flaming bullet from somewhere else knocked Veerta out of the tee, crashing into Hu Tao.
"What's going on!" The angry director stormed over to the pit in the ground where Hu Tao is hiding. Kazemari and Kiyo trailed behind.
A Fatui Skirmisher leaped from the direction of the bullet, plunging into the pit and causing a small explosion. He was a Pyroslinger, and the only physical difference between him and the others is his long crimson hair.
He launched multiple bullets at everyone. Instead of various sources, the stranger seemed to have a vision instead. Just as he prepared to blow Veerta's, who was scrambling to treat her twisted ankle, head off, his head jerked upwards.
A moment later the silent stranger quickly jumped away.
"Oi! What're you doing, running away!" Leixin screamed at the retreati by figure. He turned around, "I have another assignment. I am Ozor, the strongest Fatui Skirmisher. Remember that."
SOMEWHERE IN LIYUE
"Ma'am, La Signora." Ozor, along with a handful of Fatui footsoldiers, stood in a private room of the Northland Bank.
"Keep an eye on the blonde Traveller and Morax. If you see Childe, do not let him know of your presence. Make sure Fuyuhana Kiyo and her accomplices do not interfere with the plan." The Eighth Fatui Harbringer commanded.
"Yes, m'lady." Everyone left the room.
Ozor himself walked down the wooden stairs of the Northland Bank. He hurried down an alleyway towards a hill in the distance, far from any interruption.
"Another day alone." He whispered to himself. With no life except for the abundant grass surrounding him, the 'common footsoldier' removed the mask present on almost all Fatui members.
Beneath the mask he had eyes of different colors. One was bright emerald green and the other was dark like the abyss. If someone monitored him, they would notice his green eye growing darker by the day.
He often reminiscences the day ten years ago when he lost his first and last friend. A name etched forever in his memory.
Helanie
Ozor remembered Helanie, a young man destinied by Celestia to be successful in every way.
Ozor was happy for him, or so he though. The Pyro vision-holder had received his vision the same day as his companion. Geo- a symbol of unmoving will, and Pyro, proving Ozor will forever burn for more.
Helanie was stronger emotionally and in every way except physically. Ozor wanted to be strong, he wanted to be the 'hero'.
A dry chuckle escaped the Skirmisher's mouth. A hero, and look at him now.
There was no more happiness left in him. He though he was happy for Helanie, but it wasn't happiness. Maybe some people just aren't meant to be good. They just can't feel happy for others, they're just greedy for themselves.
Ozor was one of those people.
He had no right to miss Helanie since that night.
Time seemed to freeze. The grass stopped waving and the birds stopped singing. The presence of the Fatuus seemed to bring despair.
"Look at me, monologuing to myself." He laughed joylessly, "I wonder who will be the Harbringer that dies. That will be the day I'm promoted, the day I get even stronger."
Ozor didn't even know why he wanted to be stronger anymore. A hero? No way. The Pyroslinger felt like an empty vessel set on a path for power until the day he died. Striding on a path of darkness.
"But you would still see the good in me, Helanie. That is, if you were still alive." He whispered to nobody, "If I hadn't killed you. If I didn't lose control and massacre a whole town."
"Now I only seek to bring you back from the dead, and my last purpose will be fulfilled."
Perhaps the strongest fighters have the weakest hearts deep down.
