"Elan? Are you alright?" Tasia fretted. She had moved her adopted son to the bedroom and called in a local doctor. Kiyo stood by in silence.
He didn't look particularly sick, but rather wounded.
She suddenly remembered when she first set eyes on the particular person, he had Pyro energy lingering around him. When she creates ice, she applies Cryo to the vicinity.
'Does that mean...' Kiyo wondered, 'that it's actually melt damage?'
Kiyo did have high elemental mastery, so it wasn't a surprise it could do so much damage to someone without much strength in combat. Although visions were supposed to make someone much stronger against other elements, and the cryo didn't even come into direct contact with him.
"He seems mostly fine. However, he appears to have taken elemental damage. It is odd, though, he appears to have a Geo vision and Geo shouldn't react with the environment." The doctor proved Kiyo's suspicions.
"If that is the case, I may know what happened." Kiyo spoke nonchalantly. She explained her theory, the doctor nodding in agreement. He said, "Yes, that does seem right."
"I'm no expert on the elements, how do we help him?" Tasia asked, somewhat calmer now that she was sure Elan wasn't dying. The doctor shrugged, having only basic knowledge on the elements as well. They turned to Kiyo.
"Most of the time you just eat stuff or go to a Statue of the Seven. A little melt reaction shouldn't hurt this bad, though. Especially for someone with a vision." Kiyo replied to the silent question.
At that moment, Elan stirred. He slowly sat up, rubbing his emerald eyes. Tasia turned around on her chair. "Elan? Are you okay?"
"Um." He replied sleepily. "Yeah."
"Well, he seems fine now. Get some rest. I'll be taking my leave." The doctor said, grabbing his things and making his way out. (A/N: finally the npc is gone)
"You said something before you collapsed." Kiyo suddenly pointed out. "What was it? Do you remember?"
Elan narrowed his eyes. "Huh... no, I don't think so."
"It's alright now, at least we solved our problem." Tasia smiled lightly. "Thank you, Kiyo."
"You're welcome." Kiyo replied smoothly. "Are there, perhaps, any Primogems to spare?"
Tasia, like your everyday NPC, gratefully dropped 50 Primogems into Kiyo's palm. The blue-haired girl nodded and bid farewell to Tasia and Elan before setting off once more.
'Ugh... where are Kazemari and those idiots?' Kiyo thought to herself as she walked through Liyue's streets.
The girl wandered out of the harbor- chances are, since her companions were probably doing something about Rex Lapis, the statue of the seven was a good bet.
She headed north of the harbor to one of the statues. There, Lumine was offering incense to the statue while Zhongli stood nearby. "Yo, Lumine. Where's Kaze and the others?"
"Oh, Kiyo," the blonde traveller looked up, placing down the incense. "This is Zhongli, he's helping us prepare for Rex Lapis' Rite of Parting. Kaze and Nacht are doing some shopping and Veerta was looking for you."
"For me?" Kiyo asked. She closed her eyes, activating Elemental Sight to search for potential traces of her friend. Lumine nodded. "I'm not sure where she is now."
Kiyo frowned. Normally, she never worried about anything. Plus, Veerta may be an angel with a big heart but she could totally handle herself in battle. Still, there was something wrong in the air.
Liyue was currently quite dangerous, in fact, due to the truckloads of Fatui, treasure hoarders taking advantage of the chaos, and officials still trying to arrest anyone suspicious. "I have nothing to do, so I'll go look for her."
"Alright!" Lumine replied cheerfully. The traveller could tell, although Kiyo was usually aloof and rude, she did in fact care for her friends.
While Lumine returned to Paimon and Zhongli, Kiyo called for Pig and Eon and sent them both off to search for Veerta with kameras.
While the blue-haired girl walked, she pondered what could pose a danger to Veerta. She knew her friend would never willingly keep anyone waiting, and would definitely leave a sign if she was leaving for a while.
She was shaken from her thoughts by Pig returning.
'Already?'
Kiyo reached out, and the machine dropped the kamera in her hand. The girl hadn't been able to figure out how to link the kamera directly with Pigeon, so the footage was always blurry from the speed they fly.
Like usual, it was almost impossible to see the details. The girl had sharp eyes, so she caught a glimpse of her friend's dark brown-red hair. The video was mostly pointing towards the distant Mt Hulao due to the positioning of the camera, but Kiyo could see some sort of fight going on with Veerta's flashing electro and an unknown figure's pyro.
She checked the location the video was taken- Tianqiu valley. That was quite far away from the harbor, there was no reason for Veerta to be there.
Regardless, Kiyo had no better leads.
"Go back to searching," the blue-haired girl commanded. She knew for a fact that both Pig and Eon needed to be present in order to lift her, and she could teleport over anyways.
(A/N: ok so idk how teleport waypoints work so here everyone can use them, but it's very draining for non vision holders and you need to go to a waypoint to get to another, you can only teleport to a waypoint you've touched and it appears different based on the person looking.)
The Inazuman girl rushed to the nearest teleport waypoint, which thankfully wasn't too far from where she had wandered to, and shut her eyes in focus as she laid her lands on it. A moment later, she opened her eyes to find herself next to the waypoint in Tianqiu valley.
Like she had guessed, Veerta was injured as if she had just come out of a fight. Her current weapon of choice, The Widsith, lay beside her.
"Oh, hey, Kiyo!" the girl called, waving at her friend. "I need to take a trip to a Statue of the Seven, but you need to help. The red-haired Fatui guy that one time- he was trying to hurt a civilian."
"Huh," Kiyo replied flatly, handing her friend a few Sunsettias and Apples. "Do you know where he went? I'll go after him, you should go back to the Traveller."
"I'm not sure," Veerta admitted, getting up and heading towards the teleport waypoint. "Should be towards one of the mountains though."
"Alright."
