ELENA & BONNIE
It had been a few hours, and the girls were still sitting in Elena's room giggling about all of the cool new tricks that Bonnie could do now that she knew she was a witch, but neither of them seemed to mind. "It's weird, huh?" Bonnie grinned. "After all this time joking about being psychic. I really am a witch." They both laughed at the absurdity of their new lives, even as they relished in some of the goodness within them.
"You don't think I'm a freak now, do you?" Bonnie asked worriedly, picking up one of the feathers.
Elena gave her best friend a look. "No, of course not. Bonnie, I just... I don't understand though, if your grams already asked you to keep all this a secret, why did you tell me?" she inquired.
"Aside from the fact that I knew you were already brought up to speed on the whole supernatural thing, you're my best friend," Bonnie answered genuinely. "I can't keep secrets from you."
Elena smiled solemnly. "Neither can I. And I guess I'm really glad that I don't have to because of Sam and Dean."
"One of the few smart decisions those boys ever made was cluing us in," Bonnie agreed. "And we're better off for it. Can you imagine if they hadn't?"
The other girl shook her head in response. "No, can't say I can. And quite frankly, I don't think I want to."

LEXI, STEFAN, AND ELENA
"I'm almost ready," Lexi sang, as she pranced out of the bathroom in a bath towel.
Stefan chuckled at his friend's antics, even as his mind wandered to thoughts of Dean. Where was he? Was he alright? Did he know how much everyone missed him? Was he even aware of how worried they all were for him? Or had the Curse completely taken him over? Or... have his memories returned?
He hoped to God it wasn't that. Otherwise, he wouldn't make it to his 163rd birthday.
One thing was for sure he needed to know the exact second that Dean came back into town. Which meant that it was probably time to pay his Familiar a visit. But that could wait. Right now, he had other problems.
"I can't believe you think we should actually go to this thing," Stefan sighed, as he watched her grab her clothes to get dressed.
"It's not like I'm asking you to run outside, midday, without your ring," Lexi retorted. "I mean, seriously, it's a party."
"A party that Damon wants us to go to," Stefan pointed out warily. "So my question is, why? I think he's up to something."
"Damon's always up to something. Who cares?" Lexi replied. "I mean, what could he possibly do in front of all those people in a public place?"
Stefan's jaw remained clenched as he furrowed his brows with unease. He didn't know what Damon could possibly do in a public setting like that. But he damn sure didn't want to find out either. "He knows how to keep a low profile believe me," Stefan stated.
"Okay, so he'll behave," Lexi huffed. "Come on. One day a year, I get to you. One day that you're not brooding and existing in your own head."
Stefan quirked his lips upward despite his uneasy feeling. "It's my birthday, yeah?"
"It's my day," Lexi argued. "And that guy that jumped naked in the Trevi Fountain and got drunk on the torch of the Statue of Liberty? That guy can take a break from all of his worrying for one night and go to a stupid party. So quit your whining... and go get ready." Then she smacked him on his butt and lightly shoved him in the direction of the bathroom.
