(I am back from the dead again)

August 15, 1945

The door to his cell opens once more. Singapore expects the worst, he knows that Imperial has come to do another experiment on him and he expects to hear that malicious cackling filling the room. And yet, the voice he heard belonged to someone else. Someone he had not seen in 3 years and 7 months.

"Singapore"

The young nation slowly turns around. Who he saw? His own father. Standing in front of him.

His father's face comes from the shadows, a mix of grief over what Imperial has done to his child, and joy that both were finally reunited. Seconds pass, Singapore struggles to comprehend that he isn't an image in his mind. He is real. He hugs his father tightly, while crying over the fact that he did come back for him. A hand starts petting him and his father's voice says:

"Do not be afraid anymore, my child, for I have come back for you. Just like I promised back then."
