Giyuu's eyes fluttered open, realizing the white haori placed on top of him. Shinazugawa's haori. Shizu slept peacefully still. The Water Hashira heard a yawn from the scarred man sitting to his far left.
   "Shinazugawa-San?" Giyuu asked.
   Sanemi's head shot towards Giyuu's direction, "Oh, you're finally awake. . ."

The Wind Pillar had stayed up the whole night, and looked as if he could collapse and drift off at the moment. Tomioka felt some sort of guilt, watching Sanemi be this tired. The man was usually so full of energy and always seemed so angry and stubborn. Now, when the young, blue eyed man watched the Wind Hashira, the exact man seemed calm and relaxed.

Giyuu never witnessed Sanemi acting like this before, he never did. Especially not in front of Giyuu Tomioka.
"You can sleep for now, Shinazugawa—
However, Sanemi's head laid on Giyuu's shoulder, as he already fell asleep. Soon after, Shizu awoke. Giyuu gestured for the young girl to be quiet as possible, because Shinazugawa was asleep.

And even though the long haired Pillar seemed silent and wore a blank face, he was secretly dying on the inside. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the same man who hated his guts, slept on his shoulder. Giyuu didn't move to much, he simply sat there, not wishing to wake him up. Still, he set the haori on Sanemi himself instead.
Tomioka questioned himself again and again on what was the feeling that flowed through his heart at the time. Luckily, he didn't have to think too much, because Shizu already guessed it,

"You're developing feelings for him!" She whispered excitedly.
Giyuu stared at her questionably, "Shizu-Chan. .I'm not— Well even if I did, he despises me right now." Shizu looked at him in disbelief, repeatedly blinking her eyes at a quicker speed.
   "Really, Tomioka-San?. . ."
   ". . .Correct."
"Fine. . Can I braid your hair?"

Giyuu sighed, slightly moving so Shizu could be the hair stylist she wished to become. Her question was quite random, but this wasn't the first time children asked to style his hair. . .
Shizu undid the Water Pillar's hair tie, braiding Giyuu's dark locks with it. The child made a few mistakes along the way, but Giyuu corrected her.
"I never knew that you had great tips with styling hair, Tomioka-San! Who taught you?" Shizu asked.
"My Nee-San. I. .I used to braid her hair sometimes."

"Your Nee-San must be as pretty as you are!"
". . .Thank you. She is."

A couple of minutes later, no one other than Sanemi woke up. Sooner or later, the scarred man realized the shoulder he fell asleep on. Giyuu's Shoulder.
Sanemi sat up properly, witnessing the little "hair salon roleplay" occurring right next to him.
"What the fu— What is going on here?" He questioned the two, noticing that there was a child within earshot.
"I'm braiding Tomioka-San's hair! He looks so pretty, right Shinazugawa-San?" Shizu answered cheerfully.

Sanemi slipped on his haori, observing the blue eyed male, "Whatever, I'm training."
Giyuu stared at him with a blank face as usual. He wasn't hurt, he knew what type of response he would receive from Shinazugawa.
The dark purple-eyed, young man acted as if he didn't care, yet he could never admit to anyone that Giyuu Tomioka was absolutely stunning. (Note: HE IS STUNNING!! ✨)
Those ocean blue eyes, the long, natural tufts of dark hair tied up neatly, the pale skin, along with those soft lips.

Sanemi wanted to punch himself or have someone punch him in the face every single time he thought of those lips. If someone were to do that, then his face would be seriously messed up. Though he figured the Water Hashira likely hated him with all his heart. Most people did. (Note: That isn't the case though SALAMI.)

Finally, the all of them headed out, back on the road once again. Shizu practically begged Giyuu to keep the braid for the rest of the day. It didn't take much convincing though. . .
"There! I think I see a village!" Shizu exclaimed, smiling greatly.
And she wasn't lying. The three entered the area, Shizu taking the lead. She pointed towards an average house, knocking on the door. The front door opened wide, revealing an old lady with the same pale blue eyes as Shizu, and gray shoulder length hair. A soft, warm, and welcoming smile appeared.

"Shizu-Chan? And who must be these two young men?" She asked.
Tomioka and Shinazugawa introduced themselves, as the woman informed the two Hashira that her name was Sachiko Ogawa.
"We don't wish to bother you Ogawa-San, so we will be leaving." Giyuu said.
"No, no! You both aren't a bother at all! Please, come inside! You may use the shower, I have some of my husband's old clothes that you can borrow, I can wash yours." The lady insisted.

After showering, both Pillars stayed in the guest room, consisting of one master bed. (😏😏😏) Shizu sat behind Giyuu, styling his hair differently. She hummed a random melody simultaneously.
The Wind Pillar watched the two out of boredom. He wanted to punch himself in the face for the 100th time today. (Note: You know why.)
