Today, Hongjoong woke up with the worst headache he'd ever experienced in the last two years. He never really got headaches, which he thanked the lords for, but now he seemed unlucky.
How could he get sick on such a fine day.
...
For the majority of the day, he was asleep. He couldn't get up, so he just stayed where he was. There was no harm in just sleeping the rest of his day away, but the only problem was that he hadn't informed anyone of this, so the people at work would undoubtedly scold him if he didn't explain himself, his friends would probably pester him about this, and Seonghwa would be worried.
Seonghwa.
He'd probably have a panic attack if Hongjoong doesn't respond to his good morning texts. That's not good.
Slowly, he reached out his hand to grab his phone. His vision was so hazy that he nearly fell out of bed from how far he reached.
His efforts, however, were successful, granting his phone as a reward. The only problem was his vision. He couldn't open his eyes fully due to the ache, but still he pushed through for Seonghwa.
At some point, he realized what he felt towards Seonghwa. It was an emotion he never dared to feel for anyone, but when it came to Seonghwa, he couldn't help falling helplessly in love.
He always despised love, and that's because he never received it. He was just a reckless boy who had a bad reputation. His parents were the cause of all of this, since they never cared enough to spare him a glance. Their efforts at trying to be part of his life were always in vain, hence why he left at such a young age.
These family problems weren't too bad for him since he didn't care for love or compassion. But he wanted to change that. So he started interacting with people more and experienced a sort of fondness for them. After that, he decided to get a major in psychology so that he could help other people with similar experiences as his. Sure, he never acknowledged his problems and acted as if he had the perfect life to help him move forward. But he knew how he grew up, and it was disappointing.
He loved helping people, well that's when he learned to get out of that rebellious stage in his life. What made him even more adamant about getting his degree was that man on the roof.
Brrr
His phone vibrated in his hands, tickling his sensitive palms.
The messages were coming through, it seemed.
Sluggishly, he opened the notification bar and pressed on the message.

He smiled through the pain for this man. No matter how much pain he endured, his heart would soar for him.
