Talking It Out

Moon's POV...

"I think the kids are awake," I tell Y/N. "I'll be right back."

"Alright," Y/N sighs. I turn around and head into the napping area. One of the kids were starting to wake up.

"H-Hello, Moony..." One of the kids yawned. I smiled at the nick name, and wave.

"Hello...are you already ready to wake up, or do you need a second?"

"I-I'm ready to wake...do I hafta wait for the other kids?"

"Yeah. You can relax for a bit. Don't wake the other kids, okay? I have some more things to do in the Daycare. I'll come in here when I'm done. Stay here, got it?"

"Yes, Moony..."

"Thank you."

I leave the napping area and head back to Y/N.

"The kids are starting to wake up," I inform her.

"Alright. Should we end this conversation then? We'll talk tonight."

"Yeah. It was nice talking to you while I'm at it."

"It was nice speaking to you too."

I smile and turn around to attend to the children.

Y/N's POV...

Now it's a waiting game. I don't need to do anything else other than clean at the end of the day. In all honesty, I am nervous. Staying overnight here is a terrifying thought, but it's to help my friends...the Daycare Attendants are the only friends I have left, so I have grown an attachment to them. If they die, I have nothing left.

The thought about them getting replaced is what terrifies me, and no matter what, I'll make sure they live. Even if I have to sacrifice my own life, I will. I respect their will to help other children, and they're important to this Pizzaplex. Them getting shut down feels...wrong. Why replace the only Daycare Attendants that the children feel attached to? It feels wrong, and I don't like it.

The lights soon turned on, and Moon transitioned into Sun. All of the kids cheered like normal, and Sun starts playing games with them. I also respect their determination to continue going and continue playing with the children, even with the stress of getting shut down. They're amazing at their job...why the hell is this company so stupid with who they shut down?!

After two hours of watching Sun and the kids play, the kids' parents come in like usual. Soon the kids and the parents leave, and what's left is Sun and I.

"Moon told you...right?" Sun asked.

"Yeah. You guys are getting shut down. I'm pretty sure you already know this, but I told Moon that I'm staying over for the night."

"Yep. I've heard. A-Are you sure you want to do this? If you get caught, you're fired!"

"I know what I've agreed with, and I know what I'm doing. First I'm going to clean up, then I'll fetch the blueprints so you and Moon can see who the 'new' Daycare Attendants are going to be. We'll work out a plan from there, along with reprogramming you two a bit so you would stop malfunctioning frequently."

"Okay...just please be careful! I don't want you getting hurt at all."

"I'll be careful. I promise."
