It is time for the birth!!!! The baby is here. Things are still not well between Rhaegon and Rhaelys. I hope you guys like it. 🥰

3 months later.

Rhaelys winced, running her hands over her lower back, wanting to relieve the ache that had been plaguing her most of the day. She could not get comfortable, no matter how hard she tried. She had been walking the halls most of the day, she had laid down and sat down, but nothing seemed to work. She did not know what else to do, she wanted this babe out of her. It did not help that when she said to her mother she just laughed and told her it would happen soon. Well, she did not want it soon, she wanted it now. She wanted to be able to see her feet once more and to be able to walk instead of waddle. She wanted to ride her dragon, she wanted to fly through the clouds once more. Instead, she was stuck here, with a backache from all the hells, that refused to leave her alone.

"Princess?" The knight bowed.

"What?" The man's eyes widened when she snapped at him and Rhaelys felt awful. She gave the knight an apologetic look. "I apologize, Ser Jares, I did not mean to snap at you. I am just not feeling my best."

"It is not a problem, princess." The poor man had been dealing with her mood swings for moons now and he had not complained once. "Do you need me to call a healer?"

"No, it is well. There is nothing they can do." She let out a sigh. "Is something the matter?"

"Your mother is here to see you." The knight gestured with his head to her chambers. "She is waiting for you inside."

Rhaelys nodded before walking to her sitting room, her mother sitting at the table. Deirys stood up, walking towards her when she saw her enter. Her mother kissed her cheek and ran a hand over her belly, cooing softly at it, before helping Rhaelys sit.

"How are you feeling, little dragon?"

"Little? I am as large as Vhagar." Rhaelys gave her mother an annoyed look. "This babe refuses to get out, he just will not leave."

"He is possibly just comfortable in there."

"How do I make him uncomfortable?" Rhaelys's voice was so eager that her mother burst out laughing. "Is there a way to do that?"

"You will just have to be patient, my love." Deirys smiled at her, running her hand over her belly once more, her smile growing when the babe landed a strong kick against her hand. "He will be a strong little dragon."

"Yes, he will be amazing." Rhaelys smiled down at her belly, feeling her chest grow warm as it always did when she thought of her child. "I am sure he will be a boy, I have this feeling."

"I was the same when I was carrying you." Deirys's smile was gentle. "I was sure it would be a girl, even if everyone kept swearing it would be another boy."

Rhaelys smiled at her mother, the woman who had been her biggest supporter this entire time. Her mother had been with her for every step, helping her with whatever she needed, and making sure Rhaelys did not feel alone.

"He will be here soon, hopefully." Rhaelys squeezed her mother's hand. "Is there anything you need or did you just want to spend some time with me?"

"I always want to spend time with you, but I also wanted to ask you something." Her mother's face grew more serious. "My mother was asking if you had decided about what she asked you a few moons back. She wants to know if you are interested in going to Dragonstone for a year to administer the dragon glass mining."

"Yes, I have been thinking about it and I believe I would like to go." Rhaelys did not like the way her mother's face fell. She took one of Deirys's hands in her. "I am not running away, or even hiding if that is what you believe. But I would like a few moons away from all of this and spend more time with my child. You are aware that if I stay here I would have to help with anything that comes up, while in Dragonstone I can spend most of my time with my child."
