McKenna's POV:
December 26th, 2021
The last 24 hours were incredible, Christmas went so smoothly. Robin and Jim are such incredible people and I couldn't believe how lucky I have gotten to have them in my life now along with Joe. I was truly happy again, but today was game day.
Robin, Jim, and both of Joe's brothers would be in for the game today along with their significant other's. I was excited to meet them, but my nerves were racing again. I got out of bed and stretched, Joe was at the stadium already since they were practicing before the game. Joe's parents were going to pick me up on their way to the stadium. I walked into the kitchen with a yawn and my eye was drawn to a piece of paper on the counter.
Good morning darling, I can't wait to see you after the game. I know you are probably nervous about meeting my brothers, but don't be. They will love you. Just a reminder Dan is the oldest, then Jamie, and then me. Dan is the skinny one while Jamie is bigger built. Dan's wife's name is Leslie, she is a tall blonde. Jamie's fiancee's name is Christina, she is a shorter brunette. You've got this darling, I'll see you soon, I love you.
I smiled to myself, he is so good to me, it blows my mind how lucky I am. The amount of money he spent on me for Christmas was far more than necessary, I would've been happy just curled up next to him with a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket over us, and watching a Christmas movie. Which we did, just with presents too.
As time passed, I ate breakfast, curled my hair, and put on Joe's black jersey, along with the orange cargo pants I had worn a few weeks ago. I tucked the jersey into my pants and put on some makeup before pulling Joe's beanie over my head that I had stolen from him the first day I met him. My heart fluttered running that night back through my head, I've known him for 3 months already. It may not seem like a long time but wow, I feel like I've known him for years. We've already been through so much together and I wouldn't change anything except for maybe bringing him into my life sooner.
I received a text from Robin letting me know that they were five minutes out. I grabbed my purse and slipped my coat and boots on, the snow had definitely fallen overnight but it had stopped about an hour ago so the guys hopefully wouldn't have to play in the snow. I saw the car pull into the driveway and the garage door went up, they had an opener which was helpful for me in locking the house up for Joe. I walked out the door and smiled with a wave, there was a car on the road behind them that had what I assumed was Joe's brothers and their significant others inside.
Robin got out to greet me and so did Jim, both with hugs which made me smile. "Hi sweetheart, how're you today?"
"Good, thank you. How're you?" I asked leaving Robin's embrace to be taken into Jim's.
"We're good, thank you. You ready?" Jim answered and I nodded.
We got into the car and were off to the stadium, Robin was turned towards me the entire time and smiled widely when she noticed my earrings, "Did Joe get those for you?"
I nodded with a blush, "He did, it was one of my bigger gifts. He's such a sweetheart,"
"They're beautiful, the sapphires compliment you so nicely,"
I smiled, "Thank you, it's my birthstone," One of my larger gifts from Joe was a pair of gorgeous sapphire earrings and I absolutely adore them.
"What did you get him?" She asked curiously.
"As far as bigger gifts, I got him a pair of headphones that he can wear while working out and they are noise canceling, I got him a Cartier watch, and I got him a floral suit that he had been looking at for weeks. He claims he's going to wear it to the Superbowl,"
