Once Upon a Time

Chapter 2

~ Third person pov ~

Evie was walking down the main street.  She had completely given up on the idea of distancing herself from her "friends".  She doesn't know what's happening to her.  It's like he's stuck with these guys.

She noticed the figures of Grim, You, Cater and Riddle in the distance.  Unconsciously, a small smile spreads across her face but she suppresses it. 

Her steps quicken without thinking until she reaches her friends.  "hi guys" i said in a cheery tone she didn't know she had.

"hey dreamy Evie, you are very happy today, what happened? did you see me in your sleep~?"  Cater flirted.

"oh shut up" Evie muttered blushing slightly, in response light chuckles of amusement came from Cater.

Riddle: " Hm. Your tie is crooked, you know. A disorderly uniform suggests a disorderly dorm.
As prefect, you should set a better example for your dorm members. Even if you only have the one."

Evie's cheeks flush as she bends down slightly so Riddle can reach her tie and put it on better.

Riddle: "...There. All better."

  "wowwww new romance between the Housewardens of Plumatrix and Heartslabyul~" Cater teased.

The two Housewardens blushed in embarrassment.

"awwww shy lover birds~ Riddle I'm really jealous of you~" Cater teased.  "shut up.." Evie muttered.

"you are all disgusting" stated Grim.  "where is Ace and Deuce?"  Yuu asked.

Riddle: " In accordance with rule 249, it's their turn to wear pink clothes and feed the flamingos.
By the way, it seems there was another incident last night."

"pink to match the flamingos?"  Evie tried to joke.  It wasn't really funny, she wasn't good at social interactions but at least she was trying. 

"wowwww how about you today dreamy Evie? you're really more headstrong~ I think I prefer you this way~" Cater said with a wink.

Grim: " Myah?! Really?!"

Cater:  "anyway, according to a portrait who witnessed it, the victim was a sophomore from Scarabia House.
His name is Jamil Viper. It appears the accident happened in the kitchen."

Yuu: "With a portrait serving as our security camera..."

Riddle:  "It's breakfast time, so he may be in the cafeteria. Let's go see."

Cafeteria

Cater:  "Jamil has long, black hair. Let's see... Ah, there he is!"

Grim: " You're the guy who got banged up in the kitchen yesterday, right? Mind if we chat?"

Jamil:  "What is this? An inquisition?"

Kalim: " Oh, hey! That's the weasel who set my rear on fire at orientation!"

Kalim : "oh! Evie-chan! Hello!"

Evie : "hi..."

Riddle:"  Grim. You need to work on your tone. Tact is important for these sorts of things.
Forgive us for interrupting your breakfast."

Kalim: " Wow, the Heartslabyul housewarden, Evie-chan and the fire-spitting weasel. Ahaha, what a fun combo!"

Evie wasn't really following her friends and Jamil's conversation.  She was quite thoughtful.  She was almost sure who was responsible for these "accidents", she needed one more piece of evidence to be sure.
