"I'll be leaving now" Rick said and turned to leave before turning back and shooting.

My blood ran cold

"NOOO!" Maggie's blood curdling scream was heard as a body slumped the ground with a thump, I didn't see who it was but I had a feeling

"YOU SON OF A BITCH ILL KILL YOU!"

Mom

"Lori don't make me shoot you" Rick said "I will.."

"Do it you dick." She laughed coldly "No mom!" I said panicking

A gunshot.

Another body.

A familiar body.

Judith, Carl, Wyatt.

A tear fell from my eyes

My mother's body loosing its heat.

She was dead

And he was alive.

Flashback

I sat in the waiting room nervously waiting as I heard my moms screams of pains. "Hey baby you want anything?" My dad asked "Uhm no thank you dad! I can't wait to meet my baby brother"

The screams stopped and a baby was heard crying "Dad! Listen" I squealed and the doctor came out "Yall may come in" He said "Go meet your brother Sweetie" he patted my shoulder "Yay!"

"Hey lovey" My mom said weakly "hi momma I missed you!" I gasped at the bassinet beside the bed "Can I see him?" I asked in awe

"Yeah baby his name is Carl David Grimes."

I looked at the little baby and whispered "I'm gonna protect you forever"

END OF FLASHBACK

The words echoed in my mind

But I didn't

Carl has lost his mom.

Rage took over and I raised my gun and fired it into Rick's head my father's head.

Carl has lost his dad.

I took it from him.

A little whimper caught my attention and I saw Carol with Carl and Wyatt and Sophia, Judith.

Carl's face held a horrified expression "No! Don't look baby" I wrapped my arms around him and his legs gave out so we fell to the ground

I choked back a sob.

Aria you have to be strong for Carl

His hiccups echoed in the prison yard. I looked over to see maggie cradling Amys dead body. Maggie had lost so much that day. Amy, her wife. Lori, Her mother figure. Hershel, her father who Glenn just found dead. Beth, Her sister had died a few days ago.

Carol still had the remaining children I untangled myself from Carl and went over and took Judith from her since Glenn was holding onto his son like his life depended on it.

"Hey" I jumped at my boyfriends voice "Hey honey" I said quietly and pulled him into a hug

"Aria?" I looked up "What?"

"I love you" He whispered "I love you too glenny."

3 months later

We had left the prison behind unable to bear being in the space where are people were killed. we had came across a young man named Noah who was Maggie's age and they were now together.

I sat in the barn as the rain poured and saw Glenn and Noah talking "I'm gonna do it" My boyfriend said before he broke off and came up to me "Hey Aria? We need to talk" I nodded and followed him

"Arianna Elizabeth Grimes."

"Glenn? Are you breakin-" He interrupted "Will you marry me?" Tears fell and I nodded "Yes!" I hugged him and he slipped a ring on my finger

It was beautiful. Silver band. Green emerald. Diamonds around the emerald. "It's beautiful glenny.."

"Ari we will have a ceremony tonight-" he was cut off by maggie saying there was a man outside "Do you have any weapons?" I asked suspiciously "No ma'am" he said

"Drop the ma'am I'm 21 dude" I said rolling my eyes and eyeing Gabriel one of our recent recruits "Padre whatcha think?" I asked before nodding to Bob, Sasha, Michonne, Maggie, Tyrese. The rest of the council

"I have a camp- a community" he said "You're all welcome there" I nodded "we'll give it a shot."

Two days later

I settled into the house me and Glenn got once we arrived. Carol was watching Wyatt while me and Glenn were on our "honeymoon"

"Hello wife" my husband said "hello husband" I laughed and when he sat down beside me on the couch I kissed him "I'm going to Jessie's" I said

I arrived at Jessie's not long after and she hugged me "Hello!" She said excited "Come to the kitchen I've made us lunch!"

We sat down and while we were eating she asked "When are you due?" I choked "Pardon?"

"When are you due? The baby?" I shook my head "I'm not pregnant." She looked at me "You sure?" I nodded yes but she asked "We have pregnancy tests here. I-if you wanna check" she said

I sat in her bathroom and waited for the test to say not pregnant with Jessie beside me "I can't look!" I closed my eyes "just tell me"

I heard her pick up the test.

"Congratulations."
