Scarlet was just about to explode with excitement. "Well, well, it seems that Mudwing has quite the unexpected talent.", Scarlet chucked in delight. "so that's what you were babbling about earlier."

"Indeed, Queen Scarlet. I wanted it to be a little surprise."

"And a what a surprise it will be on your hatchday."

Scarlet's paused for a moment and the tone of her voice shifted, "You know, it's fascinating how some dragons can harbor hidden strengths. Makes one wonder what else might be lurking beneath the surface."

"I suppose so."

"And you, You're full of surprises too, aren't you?"

I was very confused with where Scarlet was going with this, but continued to play along. "I do my best to be useful, Queen Scarlet."

"Useful, yes. But sometimes I wonder if you really aren't telling me everything I need to know."

Maybe I was a little too into this "seer" thing. I was trying to be cryptic and turn Scarlets attention away from Glory, but now she is onto me. Now I have to try my best to feign my innocence, "What more could I tell you, my queen?

"I simply want no more surprises. Tell me everything I should know before it happens. Understand?"

"Of course, I assure you, my queen, I have no more secrets to hide. I'm here to serve, Your Majesty."

"Good."

"Crap, that went horribly. What on Earth was I thinking? Why couldn't I have just kept my mouth shut?"

Scarlet began to walk to the end of the throne room where a red, Skywing noble waited for her. The two talked for a moment until Scarlet left. The noble gave me a mean glare as Scarlet turned away from him. I'm getting used to these looks, after all, I know that I have Scarlet's protection. If anything were to happen to me, the other person would probably end up looking a lot worse than I would, still I hate getting these glares from a twenty foot dragon.

The noble walked up to me with that murderous look still plastered on his face. I was definitely more worried now, and now he was right next to me breathing sparks from his nostrils.

"What makes you so important?", he snarled.

"What?"

"Somehow you've managed to twirl Scarlet and the entire kingdom around your little talonless claw. It sickens me to see a creature so pitiful in such a great position."

"I am not sure what you mean, I serve Scarlet, not the other way around. I am only a lowly scavenger, it's only by Scarlet's mercy that I am alive."

The Skywing noble was slightly shocked to see me actually accept his insults and was definitely angrier, "You are nothing more than a anomaly, a novelty. Scarlet only keeps you as her pet."

"Indeed, I know my place. If Scarlet asks me for my insight then I answer, I do not speak otherwise."

"I...Fine, I don't know why I'm even acknowledging your pathetic existence."

"Well that was interesting. I wonder what that was all about?"

It was nighttime again and Peril was laying by Clay on his pillar. Glory and I watched the two dragon lovers have their little chat, but while I was happy for the both of them, Glory was concerned about having a living incinerator near one of her friends.
