This is a simple overview of what we know about the dragon species from all over the continent.
We still don't know much, but below are general tips for what you should do in case of a dragon sighting or attack:
What to do if I see a dragon: Find cover (preferably a tree if you can climb quickly and have the time to do so) immediately and don't leave unless you believe without a doubt the dragon has left. Stay completely silent, mask your scent if you can; if you have killed an animal in a hunt, leave it, hopefully the dragon will be more interested in that.
What if a dragon sees me: Appear as threatening as possible. Wave your sword or whatever sharp object you can find, yell, throw anything at it. Believe it or not, dragons are like any creature, they are far less likely to attack prey that is willing to fight back. Running will only encourage them to attack.
If you need to fight (as a absolute least resort, please don't fight a dragon for any reason other than survival), a spear is the best weapon you can use. It's long reach and powerful thrust can pierce through a dragon's scales easily. If you have a sword, stab, don't slash. Slashing has less of an effect on scales. If a dragon grabs you, stab their claws, their eyes, their snout, anything in reach. The bigger fight you are, the more likely you will be left alone.

Physical Description: pale gold or white scales similar to desert sand, venomous barbed tail, forked black tongue, short U-shaped snout with a horn, black eyes
Abilities: can survive for an extended period without water, powerful barbed tails similar to scorpions, can bury themselves in sand, breathe fire
Where you may encounter one: Desert dragons are probably the most widespread dragon species as they have seen repeatedly with other dragon species. However, you are most likely to find one as you head Southwest towards the desert past the mountains of the indestructible city.
What to do if I see this dragon: Stay extremely still. These dragons are used to hiding in the sands of the desert and have developed an uncanny ability to sense movement. Even the lightest footsteps are felt by them.
