A week later...
"Uno out!" DaeDae says laying his last card out. "Pay up Drizzy!" He stood up coming over to me with his hand out.
From the side of my eye I could see Mariah laughing and shit.
"Why she don't gotta pay you but I do?" I nodded my head over towards her to take the attention off me.
"Why you trying to put me in this Aubrey?"
"Because you was playing with us too so we both should just pay up."
"Nah, I never said Mariah had to pay me only you."
"And that's exactly what you get Aubrey. Now, pay the boy!"
I let out a breathe just shaking my head pulling some money out of my pants pocket.
"Here," I gave him one thousand.
"Yessir, appreciate it! It's nice getting free bread from you."
He walked over towards Mariah giving her some money as well.
"There's no way y'all teamed up on me." I looked at them in disbelief.
"So what? Don't be a hater Aubrey!" She flashed the money in her hands.
"That's just crazy. I thought we were boys DaeDae?"
"We still are. I just gotta break some off to my boss ya know?" He laughed while King came back from the bathroom with wet hands.
"King did you even dry your hands before coming back out?" I laughed looking at his hands.
He flocked his hands making water droplets splatter on Mariah.
"King! Come here so I can dry your hands off." She walked over towards him with a paper towel and drying his hands off. "Why did you even come out the bathroom like that."
"Because I wanted to hurry up and come back to the uno game!"
"We finished I won and I made him pay me. Here you can get $200," DaeDae gives him two one hundred dollar bills.
"I'm gonna buy me some new shoes with this!" He starts dancing with the money.
I shook my head. "Man y'all are something else." DaeDae left going to the kitchen.
"So, are you and my sis a thing?" King turns to the side looking at the both of us.
I looked over towards Mariah smirking at her then turned back to King.
"What you think?"
"Yes! You guys are always together!"
"We together than. You cool with that?"
"You know I already been knew. Just wanted to hear one of you say it." He laughed running behind DaeDae.
