Trouble X's Two

The day after showing Braden around, I had a test in Math and in English before lunch. I was unprepared but I hope I did well. Everyone was whispering about him all day yesterday and all day today.

I didn't show Braden around the rest of the school after lunch, he found some pretty little blonde girl after lunch and had her show him around.

I avoided everything at best to not run into him, but somehow I did, and it made my blood boil. Something about the way his hair styled up, his dark clothing and his leather jacket got me curious and irritated. I was so flustered that after school I walked home instead of having my brother take me home.

I got questioned immensely by Ricky to the point I had to tell her to leave me alone, she was only curious about Braden, but I didn't want anything to do with him. He knew he got under my skin and now, I have to go out of my way to stay clear of him.

This should be fun.

NOT.

Walking through the doors to school I heard everyone talking, the noise level was obnoxious and I wasn't dressed like I normally was.

Instead of wearing one of my many button down shirts, I wore sweat pants with my hair in a messy bun and a sweatshirt. Today was not my day for school.

"Whoa, what happened to you?" Ricky asked walking beside me down the hall to my locker, "I stayed up late last night doing school work." I lied. I didn't stay up late doing school work, I already had it done before school was out, I stayed up flustered and irritated by Braden at how rude he was yesterday, acting like he knew me for years and then him saying what he did about me not making love to a man.

As if he could tell from the start that I was a virgin, that I was always stressed out over school, getting straight A's, making sure the school was running peacefully without interruptions by numbskull teenaged boys.

But I must say one thing, he had a way of making my heart speed up to a none-existent beat, the way he made my palms sweat and the way he had me mesmerized by his bright green eyes.

"Yo, earth to Lila?" Ricky said waving her hand in front of my face, I flinch back protecting myself from harm, "I'm sorry, what?" I ask as I open my locker and put my book bag inside, taking my folders out with my homework in it for each class, and then shutting it, turning around and leaning against it, "So, I know you got upset yesterday about me asking about Braden, but I just want to know what he was like with you." she paused looking at my body up and down, and then looking at my tired face.

"And if he is as charming as every other girl has told me." She finished taking my things out of my hands, "It's fine, I can take them." I defend softly trying to take them back, "No, I've got it." She insisted hugging them to her chest as if her life depended on it.

"Okay, fine." I sigh, leaning forward putting my head on her shoulder and wrapping my arm around her waist, "I really shouldn't have come to school today." I whine, walking with her to our first class period. She lay her head on mine and put her arm around my waist, "Well, we can always ditch." she squeezed me.

"Ricky!" I exclaimed, letting her go and leaning backward.

"What?" she asks, her eyes full of innocence, "You know what!" I play along, walking with her through the door, "Oh crap, I forgot to go by the office for some papers!" I threw my hands up. "Okay, I'll let the teacher know," she says walking in as I turn away and walk back down the hallway.
