I ran towards raven point. Half way there I called for Stormfly so that I can reach there faster and stay as far as possible from the plaza. The loyal little dragon came running towards me as I mounted her. Once we reached there, I jumped of the dragon's back and narrowed my eyes towards a firm tree. I tightened my arm bindings, took my axe out and stormed towards the tree cutting the poor thing into half. I jerked my axe out of the tree and got ready to hurl it towards another. After a while of destroying trees I stood still, tired.

I death griped my axe as my knuckles bled, I tried very hard to overcome the internal pain by externally hurting myself but nothing seemed to work. If it was anyone else saying all that stuff, they would've been dead by now, but him................... WHY DO I HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR THAT IDIOT!? I can't even ignore him! But he can, he can easily trust a new girl over me, he can replace me. I stood there as blood dripped off my hands, stinging as the cool breeze brushed my knuckles. I felt a little dizzy probably because of the blood loss. As I sat down to rest a stray tear made its way to my cheek.

Slowly tears trickled down my face, I just couldn't stop them. I never imagined Hiccup like this. It hurts when you're not as important to a person as they are to you. I didn't want to go home yet and also didn't have the energy. I sat there for a while powerless letting my tears flow. After the pain became unbearable, I got up to go home, my wound stinged as I used my hands to get up. I slowly walked towards Stormfly and mounted the saddle. She squawked worriedly as she sniffed my hands. "Don't worry girl, I'm fine" I winced, as my hand stinged. She squawked once again, taking off.

We landed just beside the plaza. I slowly walked through the narrow lanes as my dragon followed right behind me. I went towards my home, towards the steep uphill trek. Mid way I arrived at my house, I slowly opened the door trying not to wake anybody up as I tip-toed up the staircase and towards my room. I lit a torch on my desk searching for medical appliances. I opened the drawer seeing a container containing charcoal paste. An idea popped into my head randomly. We can get the book of dragons back from the outcasts! I can dress up like Heather and color my hair using charcoal; They will definitely be fooled. After rechecking my plan, I decided to tell this to Hiccup.

I tip-toed back down and went out the door. I ran uphill towards the chief's house. I knocked on the door as hard as I can. Slowly the door opened revealing a very drowsy Hiccup, rubbing his eyes. "A-Astrid, what happened?" he said. His eyes slowly moved towards my hands. "A-A-Astrid! How did this happen!!?? H-H-How-" he freaked. Before I could say anything else, everything around me started spinning and I fell into darkness.

Hiccup's POV

I suddenly woke up to someone banging the door, I slowly walked to the door and opened it. I drowsily rubbed my eyes before noticing who is standing there. "A-Astrid, what happened?" I spoke. My eyes slowly moved towards her hands. Blood tricked down her hand and dripped, staining the ground. "A-A-Astrid! How did this happen!!?? H-H-How-" I freaked. She opened her mouth to say something but before I knew it, she fell into my arms. I panicked and screamed for help. My father suddenly came out rushing, Toothless following behind. Toothless came forward sniffing and licking her face to try to wake her up.

"Son how-" before he could continue, I was already mounting Astrid onto Toothless. "Dad, please get the others to Gothi's hut" I said quickly. He nodded and went towards the other huts. I flew as fast as I could, as I continuedly stared at her flushed, pale face. I pushed Toothless to his fastest speed. We softly land onto the healer's hut. I went to the door, banging on it. The healers rushed to come out. "What happened?" A young healer spoke. Her eyes fell onto the limp Astrid on Toothless' back. "Hurry up get her in" she ordered to the others. Two of the women, carried Astrid to the inside of the hut. I followed right behind them. Gothi came outside and examined her wounds. I now noticed the deep gashes on her knuckles, still bleeding. "How did this happen? Tell me everything" The healer said, after reading Gothi's ruins.

"I-I don't know. She had just come to my house, probably to tell me something. I saw her knuckles bleeding and asked her what happened. Before she could say anything, she fainted" I explained. The healer went back to checking on her, she ordered her juniors to get the supplies. "She should be fine soon enough.......... but the blood loss and how deep the wounds are, concerning. Right now, the infection can be healed but if she would have left it in the open for a longer duration, it could have gotten serious. Right now, just take care of her, these wounds are definitely from an axe, this could have led to much worse injuries. We will have to keep her here until she wakes up. You can stay here if you want," said the healer. "Sure, thank you very much" I said. The healer soon left; I pulled a seat to the table she was lying on.
