Coffee With The Twins

Haruhi wakes up to Hikaru's face gently pressed against hers; his eyes were still closed but a slow smirk crawls across his sleepy face causing heat to rise to her cheeks. Haruhi lays her head back on the pillow closing her eyes hoping not to wake up Hikaru, she had fallen back asleep when Kaoru opens the door when his eyes widen from seeing his brother and Haruhi laying in bed together. Kaoru tip-toes over to the bedside staring at his brother laying a hand on his shoulder shaking him awake to scorn him for his actions; he wanted Hikaru to be with Haruhi as much as the next person but this was unacceptable behavior even for him.

"Hikaru, you dummy! What are you doing with Haruhi in your bed we were suppose to sleep on the couches dowstairs." Kaoru whispers in slight annoyance, Hikaru with tired in his eyes looked up at him with a devilish smirk.

"I needed to grab something from upstairs and I thought i might as well just climb in with her; she looked so lonely last night I couldn't leave her" Hikaru's sleepy words spin together as Haruhi turns away from the noise, Kaoru gives a scolding look as he grabs his brother from the bed dragging him downstairs.

"Hikaru you can't do that it's rude... she was our guest not your weird cuddle toy" Kaoru says harshly, Tamaki would freak out about this even if they weren't on the best of terms right now. Hikaru glares at him but his amber eyes soon soften.

"Kaoru... she said she loved me last night when I got into bed with her... Honestly I was just going to check on her but I'm not sure what came over me." Hikaru's head droops down as his messy orange hair falls in his eyes and Kaoru's eyes grow larger when the words come together in his head.

"Was she actually awake? Haruhi doesn't seem like someone to just throw that word around so easily..." Kaoru says concerned for his brother if Haruhi said this in her sleep it would crush him, and her not knowing what she said is unfair to her she may have feelings for Hikaru but Kaoru doubts it's love quite yet.

"I'm not sure if she was awake fully but she was awake, I think..." Hikaru keeps his head low before Kaoru could say what he wanted Haruhi turned the corner to where they were standing.

"Good Morning Hikaru and Kaoru, How did you guys sleep?" Haruhi asks clueless of what the twins were talking about.

"We slept fine what about you?" They both ask nervously in unison. Haruhi raises an eyebrow at them.

"I slept pretty well, that bed is super comfortable and I was kinda cold last night but I warmed up pretty fast surprisingly." Haruhi answers shrugging off the twins odd reaction. Hikaru mouths "You see! she was cold! I had to warm her up!" to Kaoru as Haruhi turns to look at something and Kaoru gives his brother a sympathetic look; Kaoru knew Haruhi didn't remember what she said last night.

"How about I go out to the kitchen and make us all some coffee?" Kaoru asks trying to quickly change the topic.

"Coffee sounds nice Kaoru." Haruhi smiles with sleep still in her deep brown eyes.

"Why don't you have one of the maids make some?" Hikaru looks confused but quickly Kaoru shuffles him into the kitchen without Haruhi hearing him, Haruhi follows them into the kitchen dragging her feet slightly.

"We can make the coffee Haruhi." Kaoru volunteers elbowing Hikaru to grab coffee beans while Kaoru hooks up the coffee brewer. Haruhi smiles as they ground up the beans, she had never really seen them work together it was funny to her how nicely they could do things without there being any strings attached.

"Is there anything i can do to help?" She offers with a half smile, even though they were being great hosts she felt bad not helping them.

"Don't be silly Haruhi, You are our guest you don't have to help do anything." Kaoru quickly replies setting down a cup of coffee infront of her, then continuing to place two other cups on each side of her while Hikaru got out cream and sugar with a multitude of flavors to put in their coffee's.

"Hmmm, didn't take you guys for flavored coffee people." She teases dropping some sugar in her coffee.

"We aren't, I got all the stuff out for you just in case you liked this stuff." Hikaru answers with his lips connected to the steamy cup. Haruhi sips from her cup as Kaoru starts to speak.

"What time would you like to go to school Haruhi?" Kaoru asks politely.

"Um, i guess whenever is convenient for you guys. I normally leave early since I have to walk to school." Haruhi says finishing her coffee smiling at Hikaru, he returns the smile with blush coming across both cheeks.

"You walk to school?" Kaoru asks mindfully.

"Yeah, there aren't any buses that run to school since most of the kids have their own private rides so I walk." Haruhi answers washing out her coffee cup when Hikaru grabs it from her finishing washing it.

"Haruhi you don't need to wash this I can do it." Hikaru says nervously scrubbing the cup placing it in a drying rack.

"I could of got that." Haruhi says tilting her head to the side confused, Hikaru was acting like Tamaki this morning but she wouldn't dare say so.

"Well I'll call the limo for us to get to school" Kaoru cuts in as they all go to different rooms to get dressed but, Hikaru follows Haruhi before she realizes him.
