A disclaimer here, for those who might be triggered. This chapter will deal with a bit of racism regarding Blaise Zabini and the mob, so if you don't want to read that, just skip to the rest of the chapter. --QuillMistress

Circus, Circus, Las Vegas

Severus

Why they had to return to this ridiculous resort Severus had no idea, but this was where the drop-off point was, inside the damn carnival themed resort. Harry Potter carried the Luxor poker and black jack chips that amounted to $50,000 American muggle dollars. Even for muggle British pounds, this was a lot of money to just carry around willy nilly.

Potter noticed the sign for the singing competition first: "Didn't you and Lucius say you could sing?"

Lucius grinned, mischief flashing in his silver eyes, "Well, if you remember, we did sing the night of the bachelor party."

"You're more than welcome to strut up on that stage like the peacock you are."

But his cousin would not be deterred. "Oh, come on, little brother. The prize money is more than worth it. Please? Please? Pleassse?"

Potter sighed, looking at the other poster for a drag competition. "How about you sing, and I'll try to win this drag beauty contest with Ron here?"

Mr Weasley blushed. "Seriously, Harry, we were wasted when we went to Amigos. Must we do that shit sober?"

"Uh, yeah? Come on, it's for Ginny. She needs her fiancé back in one piece. Plus, it'll be fun."

"Fun for you," The red headed wizard pouted. "I'm still navigating this bisexual thing."

Potter kissed his cheek. "True, but won't it be a funny story to tell your sister how we helped fund the ransom money by dressing like chicks?"

Weasley grinned. "Yeah, I guess. Fine, fine, I'll do it for my sister."

Potter turned to Severus. "You two sing, we'll do the beauty show. That way, all of us do something just as embarrassing."

Lucius chuckled. "True. So, what will it be, cousin? Will you sing?"

He knew that he had little to no choice in truth, "Very well. I will sing. But you owe me a great deal, peacock."

Lucius hugged him and kissed both his cheeks. "Yay! You're being a team player at last. Hell has truly frozen over."

They went through the sign up process, and when it was Severus's turn to sing, he ignored the crowd and imagined he was alone. He started to sing, and Lucius sang back up on it, lending his higher voice to his more baritone voice. When they were done, the crowd cheered them on in a joyous way.

The beauty pageant was...amusing, and watching Potter and Weasley pretend to be witches was even better. Although, Severus did not expect that Lily's son passed off as a more convincing witch. Weasley was clumsy and clearly did not like wearing a dress. Potter did not like it either, but a layman would never know it watching him act like a runway model. Then again, Harry Potter had more confidence in performing in front of people due to his time as a Quidditch player.

The crowd, of course, loved it when they were done with their routine, and Lucius remarked, "Well, at least if nothing else works out, Potter has a future in acting."

"Yes, but did you record this event for possible blackmail later on?" Severus inquired, grinning.

Lucius laughed. "Certainly. What kind of Slytherin do you take me for? We did well, though, I think."
