You were down with a high fever. You didn't attend your classes, nor did you tell anyone anything, so your boyfriend Kirishima was worried. He stopped by your dorm after class and saw you lying on the floor, drenched in sweat and burning up.
"Y/n! Are you okay?!" He ran towards you.
"Yeah... I'm- I'm fine..."
He touched your forehead, "Y/n, you're burning up! Why haven't you gone to the infirmary, you idiot?!"
Kirishima set his backpack down and checked the cabinet next to the dresser.
"Ah, here!" He pulled out a thermometer, then crouched near you again.
"Open your mouth."
"Eijiro, I'm fine... You don't need to worry..." You tried to get up, but you had no strength in you.
"Shut up," He caught you before you hit the ground.
"Don't move," Kirishima said and sat you back down. He then put the thermometer into your mouth.
The thermometer beeped. Kirishima checked it and raised an eyebrow.
"It's 40°C." (104° F)
"Y/n, that is a high fever! Why haven't you done anything about it?" Kirishima asked, his voice full of worry.
He then picked you up and set you on the bed. You were too tired to resist, so that's where you stay. He sat down next to you, his body still touching yours in a sort of protective manner.
"What should I do... What should I do..." He was worried. Should he call Bakugo? No, he wouldn't give a fuck. Aizawa-sensei? He would probably be tired after school.
"Damn it, I'm taking you to the infirmary," He stood up, grabbing you carefully by the waist. He placed you on his back.
"Hold on," He warned. After a while of carrying you in that manner, you arrived at the infirmary.
Recovery Girl sat in her usual spot. She glanced at Kirishima as he entered with you on his back. She stood up as he approached her.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Y/n has a high fever. It seems like she woke up with it, but I didn't know until now," He said, setting you down. Your head was spinning, but you managed to keep your eyes open long enough to see Recovery Girl walk over to you and check your pulse. She then glanced at Kirishima, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm going to take a blood sample to confirm the diagnosis. Then I need to prescribe some medicine and get her to rest," Recovery Girl said.
She held your wrist and brought forward a syringe. She inserted the needle into your arm and extracted some of your blood. After a few seconds, she looked at the syringe in her hand, and then at you.
"It's influenza. You need lots of sleep. Kirishima, stay with her and make sure she rests as much as she can," Recovery Girl said. She then handed you two bottles of medication and walked away.
Kirishima leaned your body against his and looked at you with a worried expression.
"Y/n, take the medicine that Recovery Girl has given you. Do not complain or I'll tie you down and pour it down your throat," He warned in a threatening manner.
You gave him a deadpan expression and stuck out your tongue in a playful manner. After a few seconds, you finally relented.
"Fine, fine. Come here," Kirishima said and held the pills in his hand. He held your head and made you take both of them. "Now, do what I say and rest, alright?"
You nodded obediently.
"Good girl," Kirishima muttered under his breath.
After a few hours, you woke up to find Kirishima asleep in a chair next to the bed, his arm wrapped around you. He stirred awake, and when he saw that you were awake, he let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank God. How do you feel?" Kirishima asked.
You could still feel your head spinning, but the medicine had started to take effect. A little bit of your energy had returned.
"Better than before. But I don't think I'll be able to attend class today," You told him.
Recovery Girl walked into the infirmary and saw that you had gotten much better. She checked your temperature and smiled at her work.
"Kirishima, l/n is no longer showing signs of extreme fever. She should be fine if you take her back to her dorm and take care of her properly," She said.
He nodded and picked you up. He then started walking to the dorms with you in his arms, a smile on his face.
"Let's put you in bed again." He said as he opened the door to your room. He set you down on the bed and covered you with a thick blanket.
"I'll stay here," He said, leaning against the wall and looking at you. "I've already informed Aizawa-sensei about this, so there's no need to worry about classes.
"Rest now, y/n," He said. After a while of silence, he leaned over and kissed your forehead. His lips were soft, and his breath was warm, as he stared at you with a worried expression.
"Why do you always have to force me to worry about you?" He asked, his voice full of affection. You were too tired to respond, so you simply smiled at him and closed your eyes.
After you fell asleep again, he went out to the kitchen and checked the cabinets for ingredients to make chicken soup. He got to work right away, filling a large pot with water as he added the ingredients.
The soup took some time to cook, but after a few minutes, you woke up to the smell of the delicious aroma coming out of the pot. Kirishima checked on it occasionally, stirring it and making sure it cooked properly. It didn't take too long, and soon enough, the soup was ready.
He then pours some out into a bowl and sets it down in front of you. He grabbed a spoon and stirred the soup in your bowl as he looked at you. You managed to take small spoonfuls of the soup as Kirishima gave you a small smile.
"How does it taste?" He asked.
"It tastes really good," You replied and then took another spoon. As you took in your second spoon, you accidentally tasted a strand of hair that had slipped in front of your eyes.
Kirishima smiled and then noticed you wiping away the hair.
"You're so precious when you're sick," He said.
The compliment put a red color on your cheeks, and Kirishima looked at it, smiling even more as he did. He couldn't help but notice how lovely you looked in that moment. You sat on your bed, under your thick blanket. Your cheeks were red from his compliment. He was mesmerized by your beauty.
The moment lasted only for a few seconds, as you quickly look away. Kirishima laughed and started eating his bowl of soup. After a while, he noticed you shivering a bit, so he came closer and wrapped his arm around you in a hug so that his body heat could keep you warm.
"You're feeling cold, aren't you?" He asked with a small smile on his face.
"Wait here, I'll bring you another blanket," He turned to get another blanket, but you stopped him.
"Eijiro, can you, uhm, cuddle with me to keep me warm?" You demanded.
The moment he heard your request, his whole face lit up with excitement.
He set the bowl down and came closer to you. He lifted the blanket and snuggled inside. He made sure that you were close to his body, before wrapping his arm around you.
"Are you feeling warm? " He whispered in your ear. As you nodded, he smiled and gave you a delicate kiss on the forehead.
"You know, I think that my life has become much brighter ever since I met you, y/n," Kirishima said, as he wrapped his arms around you gently.
"I love you so much, and I would do anything to make you happy," He continued. "I don't know where I would be without you, my sunshine."
He kissed your forehead again, with a smile on his face.
