The evening sun cast long shadows across the sprawling Todoroki estate, its rays filtering through the large windows of the living room where Shoto Todoroki sat, lost in thought. He absently traced the outline of a photograph frame on the coffee table before him. Inside the frame was a picture of him and Y/N, both laughing uncontrollably, taken during one of their many adventures. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and Shoto couldn’t help but smile as he recalled the memory.
The thought of the impending evening made his heart race. Tonight, he had decided, would be the night he asked Y/N to marry him. Despite his usually composed demeanour, Shoto found himself filled with a nervous excitement that he hadn’t felt since their first date.
He stood up and walked to the large bay window, staring out at the garden. It had taken weeks of meticulous planning to prepare everything to perfection. He had enlisted the help of his siblings, each contributing to the momentous occasion in their own way. Fuyumi had insisted on taking care of the decorations, Natsuo had helped him pick out the perfect ring, and even his father, Endeavor, had offered some surprisingly sage advice about love and commitment.
Shoto glanced at the clock. Y/N would be arriving soon. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart. This was it. All the planning, the anticipation, and the moments of doubt and assurance had led to this evening. He could only hope that she felt as deeply for him as he did for her.

Y/N hurried along the path that led to the Todoroki estate, her heart fluttering with anticipation. Shoto had been acting strangely for the past few days—distracted, yet intensely focused whenever she was around. She had tried to coax out what was bothering him, but he had merely smiled and assured her that everything was fine. Tonight, he had invited her over for a special dinner, and she couldn’t help but feel that something significant was on the horizon.
As she approached the grand entrance, the doors opened, revealing Shoto standing there, looking as composed as ever. But she noticed a certain softness in his heterochromatic eyes, a warmth that made her heart skip a beat.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice as soothing as a gentle breeze. “You look beautiful.”
She smiled, feeling a blush creep up her cheeks. “Thank you, Shoto. You look quite handsome yourself.”
He extended his hand, and she took it, feeling the familiar contrast of his warm and cool skin. He led her inside, and she was immediately struck by the transformation. The living room was adorned with soft, glowing lights, and the aroma of her favourite dishes wafted from the dining area. A table was set up near the window, offering a breathtaking view of the sunset.
“This is amazing, Shoto,” she said, her voice filled with awe. “You did all this?”
He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. “With a little help from my family. I wanted tonight to be special.”
They sat down to eat, and the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and shared memories. Shoto watched her, his heart swelling with love as she spoke animatedly about her day. He admired the way her eyes lit up, the way she laughed, and the way she made him feel complete.
As they finished their meal, Shoto stood up and offered his hand again. “There’s something I want to show you,” he said.
Curiosity piqued, Y/N took his hand and followed him outside. The garden was bathed in the soft glow of fairy lights, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves. He led her to a secluded spot, where a small, beautifully decorated gazebo stood.
Shoto turned to her, his eyes reflecting the lights around them. “Y/N, there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you for a long time.”
She felt her heart quicken, her breath catching in her throat. “What is it, Shoto?”
