Ochaco's POV:
I'm 7 years old. I've been 7 for 9 years now. I don't know why but nobody can see me, except for my bestfriend. They talk with me, take me on walks, play with me. I really like them!
I don't know why, but a lot of children I play with at the playground are see-through. It's wierd, but I got used to it by now!I noticed that Y/n can't see them, but I didn't ask her why.
Y/n's POV:
My bestfriend is 7, she has been 7 for 9 years now. It's been confirmed that only I can see her. That's why I take care of her.
In this reality, people who died at a young age don't disappear from the world. Their souls stay the age they died forever and attach themselves to people who were most important to them.
I often see Ochaco play at the park with other children, but I can't see them. She's confused to why but never asked questions.
Ghost children can see and interact with eachother, but normal kids can't see nor interact with them.
Scientists also noticed, that if someone forgets about their ghost child they disappear. For example, after the death, someone leaves them at their grave and goes on with their daily life. The kid will not try to follow if they notice you don't want to have anything to do with them.
In U.A we have something called "Ghost Daycare". Students who have a children's ghost attached to them can leave them there while they're in class and pick them up after.
It's terrifying how common it is now. When I pick Ocha up from the daycare she starts talking about how fun it was and that she has a lot of friends there. I act happy, but only if she knew her friends were dead, she wouldn't talk so passionately about it.

We were sitting in my dorm room as I watched her draw something in the back of my notebook.
"Why do you grow taller and I don't?" Ochaco suddenly asked out of the blue. My heart dropped. I really didn't want to tell her about it. I knew this moment would come eventually but didn't expect it now.
"You see, remember that time when we were walking home from the park together? It was a long time ago."
"Yes! We had so much fun that day!" I sigh. I felt bad for having to bring that traumatic event back.
"Then... When we were walking across the street..." My eyes started watering. "A truck came by really fast, remember?"
"Yes. Oh no, N/n, don't cry! Why are you crying?" She put her crayon down. I tried to calm myself down by taking a few deep breathes.
"What was the-" I was suddenly interrupted by knocks on the door. I stood up and opened the door to see my dear friend, Tsu.
"Hi Y/n- Why are you crying? What happened?" She asked.
"I'll... Tell you later." I said as I looked back at Ochaco who was now back at the table dawing something. She looked at me with worry but decided to brush it off.
"Okay, I came here to ask you if you'd want to come eat pancakes with us."
"Oh, sure!" I then turned around to Ochaco.
"You wanna come too?" Her face lit up.
"Yes!" Tsu looked at me confused. She knew that I had an attachment but it still was a little wierd for her.
