You never felt like you belonged in this world. There has always been something off about you. People would either avoid or bully you. It got so bad to the point you would rather rot in your bed than to ever see their faces again.

You would always zone out in class, daydreaming about a world where nobody felt like you did. A world where nobody felt left out. Everyone was unique and had something special about them.

You would cry yourself to sleep every night hoping one day you'll feel welcome in this world.

But that day never came.

Instead, you would try so desperately to change something, to break the cycle. But nothing worked.

You just gave up. One night you went to sleep hoping to see something else than your filthy room and those unloving parents who never cared about you. Hell, you dream about that every night.

You opened your eyes to see... A different room? Where were you? Were you kidnapped? What happened?

So many questions popped up in your head. You looked around to make sure there was no threat in the room, but everything felt so... Familiar.

You've seen this place before. Then it clicked. The room perfectly resembled the one you've always dreamt of. Everything was just the way you wanted.

You checked your phone to see a notification. It was a reminder from your calendar app, and it read:

First day at U.A!!

What? You don't remember setting that reminder... You stood up and looked at your desk to see a note on top of an ironed and folded school uniform, saying:

Have an amazing first day at school!

"What the fuck..." You whispered quietly. Were those the same parents that would ignore you all your life? The ones that never cared about you?

You looked up the name of the school, and turns out, it's the most famous school for... Heroes?

You were no hero. You were just a depressed teenage girl with no hope for the future.

But you decided to go. What if it could change your life forever? What if it would break the cycle?

You put on the uniform and went to school. You knew the whole city like the back of your hand. After all, you created it in your head. You stood in front of the school gates and sighed.

"Looks amazing, doesn't it?" You heard someone beside you speak. You didn't know if it was to you, so you looked their way. You saw a green-haired boy looking at the building, just as amused as you were.

"I've never seen you here before. I'm Izuku Midoryia." The boy looked at you with a huge grin on his face and reached out his hand to you. You weren't used to people being nice to you, so you were rather akward.

"I'm Y/n L/n. Nice to meet you..." You shook his hand and gave him an akward smile. Before the silence between you got uncomfortable, he spoke again.

"Are you new here?" You nodded. "I could show you around if you want to!"

He seemed so sweet, you couldn't say no to him! Also, you needed to figure out what class you're in. And making a new friend wouldn't hurt, right?

"Sure, I'd appreciate that." You smiled at him genuinely. It was the first time in forever since someone was nice to you.
