Hello Readers!
This is not an update. Rather, I'm here to strongly recommend a similar series as this story to anyone who dreams of transmigrating into a novel and saving the non-male lead. The novel is a Korean story call "For My Derelict Favorite," fully translated online and free-to-read.
In it, the main character (MC) female lead finds out her favorite character killed himself out of heartbreak after being rejected and discarded by the female and male leads, and gets a chance to save him herself. She's remarkably mature about it all and respects her favorite and gives him space while he recovers emotionally and mentally. It certainly reminds me of Mei Yanran's efforts to make things smoother for her favorite character---only a bit more somber!
Moreover, it's a more "realistic" look at a romance fantasy genre, where navigating the politics of a crown princess role (like the female lead at the end of the story) takes more that just being naively good and assuming everything will work out in black and white.
