Carrie's POV
Sunlight streamed through the half-opened blinds and spilled across the floor. I sat up, rubbing my eyes and smelled something like toast.
Wait, this isn't my bedroom...
I tried to remember the previous night.
Oh, this is Calum's bedroom.
a/n im listening to wherever you are now WAHHHHHHH im crying lol jk
I stood up from the bed, opened the door and walked into Calum spreading Vegemite on golden brown toast.
"Hey," I yawn, rubbing my left eye. Calum looked up from the bread and smiled.
"Morning, mate. Had a nice sleep on my bed?" He smirked. "Oh, and, you're welcome."
I giggled. "I had a really good one, and thanks. Why aren't you at school?"
a/n ummm school refers to college im sorry if i called it college it'd make no sense okay bye
"Well, since you didn't want to go, I'd really hate to leave you here. What if some men come in and—"
"I can take care of myself, Cal. But thanks for the company." I smiled, standing at the tip of my toes and giving Cal a kiss on the cheek. His face immediately heated up and I laughed.
"You look like a tomato." I muttered.
Calum chuckled sheepishly. "T-thanks..." He hands me the sandwich and I take a small bite from it. Giving it back to him, Calum raised his eyebrow. "Ain't hungry, mate?"
I nodded.
"Oh, Car, you've gotta eat something," Calum pleaded. "Just finishing that sandwich will make me really happy."
"Tell me first," I began, but as soon as I thought about my question, I decided to hold it back. "Nothing." Waiting would probably be better.
I was going to ask if he really does love me.
"I'll answer anything, Carrie. To make you eat that sandwich." Calum says, a tone of suspicion in his voice.
I shook my head, taking now a big bite. "I'll eat it."
Calum smiles and suddenly hugs me. "Thank you."
Letting me go, I walked into the den and laid down on the long sofa bed.
a/n IM LISTENING TO IF U DONT KNOW NOW I WANNA CRY THIS SONG IS SOOOO UGH
I JUST
y'all better hear it if u hadnt its a masterpiece
"Wanna watch something?" Calum asks me, holding a laptop in his hands.
I nodded, "Sure, why not?"
*
I lay my head down on Calum's shoulder, not really caring about anything anymore. We were watching a romantic comedy, since it's the type of movies Calum and I really love.
But I wasn't watching. I was thinking about those three words Calum said to me last night:
I love you.
"Carrie?" A voice said, cutting my thoughts off. I look up. Calum was waving his hand around my face.
"Oh, yeah?" I smile. His face was showing concern.
Calum sighed, smiling back. "You just zoned out there. I got worried. What are you thinking about, huh mate?"
I smiled at the word 'mate'. It's been the third time since he called me that today.
