Carrie's POV

"Callum?"

I walked into a scene that were the worst of my nightmares:

Bree sleeping with Callum.

Bree gasps when she hears me. She quickly covers herself with the red-velvet blanket. "Oh, h-hey Carrie. W-what are you doing here?"

I forced a fake smile. The one that said "What have you done?"

"Bree," I breathed out reluctantly. "What am I looking at right now?"

"I'm guessing Callum di-"

"It was rhetorical," I say harshly. Bree frowns. Tears welled up in my eyes. "How could you do this?!"

Bree suddenly showed a flare of anger. "All those times, I let you spill all your boring stories to me. Now why can't you let me sleep with your ex? At least he isn't cheating on you anymore."

"All those times I called you friend," I mutter, leaving and slammed the door loudly. The sound of it echoed endlessly in the hall.

Calum's POV

I was about to go to bed when my phone buzzed and vibrated on the dresser. I look at the caller's ID.

What is Carrie doing, calling me at nearly 12 am in the morning?

I pick up. "Hey, Car. What's up?" I say, trying to not sound sleepy.

"Cal," she sniffs. "Can I come over?"

I completely forget about that and ask, "Hey, are you crying?"

"I'll explain everything at yours. But please just pick me up at the bus stop in 28, Wood Street. Everyone's looking at me."

"I'll be right there."

She hangs up as I quickly jumped into my used skinny jeans and the Arctic Monkeys t-shirt. Grabbing my keys, I left the house.

*

We have arrived at my house. I carried Carrie bridal style, since she looked so tired, running form one street to another.

I gently placed her down on my bed, noticing her eyes beginning to fall. But I know she was still awake.

I bent down, my mouth beside her ear. "Do you wanna go to class tomorrow?" I whispered.

She slowly shakes her head, also whispering, "No. Thanks for letting me crash here."

I whisper back, "No problem."

Then she fell asleep. I sat beside her, smiling as her mouth slightly opened.

I leaned in and kissed her forehead.

"I don't know why, but I think I love you, Carrie."

Standing up, I turned off the lampshade and left the room. "Goodnight, Carrie. Sweet dreams."

Carrie's POV

I open my eyes to the sound of the door closing.

Did Calum really say that he loved me?
