So sorry for the wait, school is a bitch :/

Also, it's a bit of a longer chapter seeing as the last one was so short, so prepare yourselves.

I wake up slowly, blinking rapidly when I open my eyes to blinding light. Did I forget to close the curtains before I went to bed last night, I think to myself. I hope I haven't slept in, Steve would kill me.

But as my vision comes into focus it's not the blinding light of the sun on my face, it's a lamp pointed directly at me. Right. The Avengers being bad friends. Loki rescuing me. Getting kidnapped. Guess that wasn't just a really weird dream.

I swear as I find my arms have been bound down to some sort of cold, white surface. A table I assume. Similarly to my arms, my legs have been bound and a metal thing wraps over my forehead, keeping me from moving in any sort of way.

I try to wiggle out of my bounds but it's no use, I'm stuck firmly in place. Ok, so this is bad, but I can handle it. Probably.

My breaths quicken as a weird sense of deja vu overwhelms me. I squeeze my eyes shut and try to ignore the feeling that something is wrong, really wrong and I needed to get out. Now.

My eyes snap open when I hear the sharp clicks of footprints nearby, heading in my direction. I turn my as much as I can to try and see who's coming.

A man's face comes into view, his face wrinkling as he sends me a smile. His white hair is long, falling down almost to his shoulders. And he's got a moustache, dyed bright blue.

"Demica, we meet again," The man says, pulling over a chair and sitting down. I have to strain my neck just to see him.

"Uh, sorry, but I can't seem to remember who you are and when we met. Care to enlighten me?" I attempt to smile but it turns into a grimace as a sharp pain shoots through my head. The man only chuckles, glancing over my body in a way that sends shiver through my body.

"Right, I forgot you wouldn't remember," He smiles to himself. I frown. What's that supposed to mean? I open my mouth to ask but it goes slack as my eyes fall on the small tray of instruments the man's fingers were hovering over.

I begin to shake as fear shoots through me, electrocuting me like lightning. I start struggling against my bonds again but a small prick in my neck sends exhaustion down my body and I go slack, unable to protect myself. My eyes, too, become heavy and I struggle to keep them open. Fear overwhelms me now and, as the man's face comes into view, hovering over my face wearing a large grin, the strong sense of familiarity sends me spiralling.

"Fortunately, you won't have to be awake for this one, you can be thankful for that dear," the heaviness is overwhelming and my eyes are forced closed.

I sit up, gasping for air. I glance around and upon seeing the concrete walls surrounding me, it's like all the air in the world has dissipated. So it wasn't a dream, fantastic. I shuffle back until my body hits the wall and curl up, squeezing my eyes shut.

Deep breath in, 1 2 3 4, deep breath out. I continue the cycle until it feels like air is actually reaching my lungs. I reach a hand up to my aching head, trying to regain my bearings. What did they do to me?

A small aching from my chest brings me to lift my shirt up and frown at the extensive bandage that wraps around the entirety of my chest. A dark redness coats most of it, am I bleeding out? Is that what's happening?

Ignoring the red soaking through the white wrapping I glance around my cell. Just like any typical cell, it has three concrete walls and one that looks out into the hallway with metal poles preventing any sort of escape.
