This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the Earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I've drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue, I owe them
Swept away, I'm stolen.

Krystal's pov:

"I don't trust her." I walked out of the living room and into the backyard with Bucky on my tail. "There's no way she's telling the truth. I can't risk the case on her word. Nah-ah." I halted, turning to face him.

Bucky read my face for a second, crossing his arms on his chest.

"Whatever you say, goes." Bucky sincerely said.

Furrowing my brows, "No!" I protested, "You know how indecisive I am. Help me here." I said with distress.

He took a deep breath, "Krys, I don't know Rumlow's sister and how much truth she's telling us." He walked closer to me.

"But-" my eyes stuck to his face.

"But-" he exhaled, holding my arms, "If she comes through-"

"That's a big if." I interrupted him.

"If she comes through-" his voice, calm as he speaks further, "There's no way Rumlow's lies hold up in court." I sighed listening to him.

He's correct but trusting Alexa of all people is a HUGE gamble... One I don't know if it'd be worth the risk.

Groaning, I closed my eyes, dropping my head on his chest from mental annoyance. Bucky's arms wrapped around my shoulders, hugging me into his chest.

"Doll, if you don't want to involve her, of course, I won't force you to. But there's no harm in listening to her testimony. I don't trust her anymore than you do but being his sister, she's a very credible witness." Bucky reasoned with me.

"Ugh, I'd rather shoot Brock myself, before trusting a Rumlow again." I said pushing my head up to look at him with my chin tucked on his chest.

A hint of a smirk appeared on his lips as, "If Brock walks out of that court room without a death penalty or life imprisonment, I'm putting a bullet in his head myself." He said slipping his arm down to hold my wrist and walking towards the door into the house.

I chuckled, shaking my head before realisation hit.

"Wait-" we entered the house, "You're joking right?" I asked, looking up at him, as we walked past the gym.

"Am I?" He asked narrowing his eyes at me.

I don't like the certainty in his voice. Before I could say anything further, Bucky and I reached Alexa who was in the living room waiting for us.

"I need to go back, I haven't got all day." Alexa said, standing up and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well, nobody called you or asked you to stay." I got annoyed at her attitude for no reason.

Alexa held my gaze as we stared each other down. But there was something different about her. She still had her spark but not as sharp as she used to be.

"Alexa-" Bucky's voice caught her attention as she looked at him, "Why would you testify against your own brother in court?"

"Not in court." She replied, shaking her head, lightly with certainty in her voice. "But-" She sighed heavily, "I will testify in a deposition."
