It was 7pm on a warm summer evening.
"Aurelia!!" her mother shouted.
"Yeah?" she replied.
"Clean the house now! Me and your father are going out with your sister to a restaurant for her birthday!" her mother yelled.
Aurelia got out of bed slowly and sighed at the fact that her parents never took her out with them. She heard the clattering of keys and a loud slam knowing they were gone. As she walked down the creaky staircase she noticed how much mess she actually had to clean. Just as she was about the grab the sponge to wipe
the counters, she smiled and decided on a plan she had been thinking about for awhile. She ran upstairs and almost ripped open her wardrobe in excitement, pulling out all of her favourite clothes. She'd turned 18 only 2 weeks ago and always wanted to get out of her toxic home and explore in peace.
- Time skip -
Her bag was packed with all she needed for the trip. Clothes, food and drinks, her cellphone, and charger. Everything she needed. She couldn't wait to be free.
It never seemed she was in a toxic household, she always kept quiet about her home life. It was so confusing and draining for her, she would never wish it on her worst enemy.
After many hours of driving, waiting, and confusion. She was on the plane!! She began to continue her book about romance in France, and had always dreamt of having someone that cared and loved her forever. She was 18 now and still hadn't had her first kiss or first boyfriend. Although she never showed much interest in love. She always wanted the right person and knew it would take time. Her best friend Allie had been living in Germany for about 2 years now, and when she told Allie she was hoping to move there, her best friend couldn't wait! She barely visited Aurelia and always wanted to be with her.
The plane finally landed, Aurelia took a huge sigh of relief as she made her way out of the plane. Once she finished getting her luggage and exiting the airport, she found the taxi she called to drive her to her new apartment. As they pulled up she thanked him and handed him the money. She headed into the reception getting her keys and room number.
She found her room after 10 minutes of searching and ran and jumped on her bed. She'd received multiple calls from her parents but decided to block them and get on with her new life!
