I woke up to someone opening my curtains and letting the sunlight in,
"you need to get up sweetie" Kate said.
"I don't wanna." I groaned. I haven't really been outside lately, I still felt horrible, My whole body was sore.
"Come on, go get ready! The boys planned a cook out for today, and I had someone come by and clean out the pool!" Kate said smiling. I looked at my clock, 10:30
"Can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Of course." She said laughing.
"Why do you care about me all the sudden? The day at the hospital when you came in crying, it really made me think." I said not knowing what else to say.
"Faith, when I look at you I see myself. And I remember how my mom was never a good mom, and look how I turned out. I care because I realized how much you need a mother figure. And I don't want you to end up like me." She was getting tears in her eyes.
"Don't start crying. If you start then I will start crying!" I said smiling. Kate laughed and wiped her eyes.
"Okay get ready." She said getting up.
"Wait." I said standing up. I put my arms around her waist and laid my head on her shoulder. At first she just stood there, then she hugged me back. I actually felt like we were bonding.. Like she was actually my mom. But we all know it's gonna take awhile for me to call her mom.

I got in the shower and fixed my hair, then put on a little makeup.
I got changed into some high-waisted shorts and a crop top that tied in the front, which I made out of an old T-shirt. I had my bathing suit on under, just incase I decided to go swimming.
I walked downstairs and the doorbell rang, I stopped and went to open it. I couldn't believe my eyes. Brad.

"Hello Faith."

"Why are you here? Go away." I said. My heart was pounding and I was scared.

"See I would go away but I'm not leaving without my wife."

"Well she doesn't trust you anymore. She wants to live a normal life as a mom. So leave and forget about us all." I said. I was shocked, I just stood up to him.

"Normal life? Well-"

"She doesn't love you okay! She loves us! Now Leave! Before I call the cops!" I said sharply.

"You are gonna regret saying that." As he said that chills ran down my spine. He turned away and walked off.
I was so scared. I closed and locked the door, I didn't feel safe anymore.
"Who was at the door?" Seth asked coming downstairs. I just stared at the floor.
"Brad." I said.
"What! What the hell did that piece of Shit want!?" Seth Yelled rushing toward me.
"Seth Allen King!! Watch your language!" Kate said coming around the corner.
"Brad was just at the Fucking door!" He said. Seth was ticked.
"What?" She asked. She looked at me as if her heart had stopped beating.
"He.. He was here.. He wants you to leave with him.. And I.. I said no.. That.. Uh you didn't love him, you loved us." I said still scared and a bit shaken up.
"Kate he told me I was gonna regret saying that." I said with tears in my eyes.
"Baby don't cry! It's okay." Kate said rushing toward me hugging me. I started crying, and I couldn't stop. I was scared.
"Shhh. It's okay. It's fine." Kate soothed me.
"I'm gonna go call Taryn." Seth said running into the kitchen.
Kate walked me to couch and sat down with me, "baby I won't let him hurt you or your brother." She said, I looked up at her. She had the look of revenge in her eyes, she kinda looked more mad than Seth... That was scary too.
